Homecoming - Part 2
Jonas' home planet (and its minerals) has attracted the attention of Anubis. SG1 reluctantly shows up on Kelownan to render some kind of aid (despite how the Kelowans have behaved toward them in the past). Jack must deal with diplomats (his favorite people). But the Gou'ald, as usual, are never happy - this time with each other. Baal and Yu see this situation as a chance to destroy Anubis. Up on Anubis' ship, Jonas and Daniel must work together to survive.

"Jack must deal with diplomats" ya like with a p-90
I wonder if the Goauld even know about naquadria or if they just didn't use it cause of it's unstability.
Maybe Annubis is going to make another planetbuster
Hmmm... whose homecoming, I wonder? What's the odds on Jonas deciding he needs to stay with his planet to help them out, while still appearing occasionally as has happened with people like Jacob, Bratak, etc? any takers?
Incidentally, when someone from earth blends with the tok'ra, how come they always go and live with the tok'ra? Why don't we have a tok'ra come live with us for a change?
loopy
well if they lived with us what would they do, kind of screams security threat.
yeah the goauld use naqrudriah... it's in their shield gen and hyperdrives!
Hum... if Jonas spends the episode on a spaceship I'm guessing we're not going to get to meet his family and friends.... poor guy, I wonder sometimes....
Cool, cool, cool..Ba'al and Yu and Apophis....
Sounds like a winner. It also sounds like maybe the writers will use the time that Daniel and Jonas are together to maybe straighten a few things out such as...
I can picture Daniel having a VERY unpleasant sense of deja vu of his previous "death" when he goes to Kelownan, and Jonas being uneasy for the fact that he perhaps feels responsible for what happened...
just a thought....

we do? they do? ![]()
why don't we use the more stable one then?
Because we are not advanced enough to build a Goa'uld hyperdrive. The technology we do have is all retro-engineered and it's still nowhere near the level of a Goa'uld drive. It does have alot more potential though due to the vast amounts of energy you can extract.
If we could ever get it to work right.
Maybe we do and the Goauld can read an energy signature from the x-303 hyperdrive.......
They think...."If those monkeys can get it to work so can we"
Or they want a Naquadria bomb to blow up annubis

I say his ex wife shows up with a kid and we learn that Jonas is a deadbeat dad.
Kidding!
No, really!!!!
i am so looking forward to the new season. Will jonas stay or go back in this home world?
Maybe he'll sort of do both. Teal'c stays at the SGC but he still goes back to visit sometimes. There's no reason why Jonas can't do the same thing.
I've seen this episode and well the spoiler is right but there's actually no Ba'al... no Yu... no Apohis and no Anubis. well and you got it... no spaceship...
There's a conflict on the homeworld of Jonas and they want military help from SG1 to defend their land.
Yeah... Sg1 wants the Naquadria but the don't want to give them waepons. A formerly teacher of Jonas believes that a underground organisation, named "resitance", is about to take over control and will stop the war but there's no organisation... it's only in his mind... or better, in his paranoia caused by the Naquadria.
So the Episodes ends without helping and without a war.
Well I guess there will be a war. But we'll never see what will happen. ![]()
(by the way: in germany it's the first episode available on tape but actually no second part of anything)

umm... it's tape #59
think about it Danel is back so now they have to get rid of one of SG1 to keep the team set at 4 I was just wondering how they were going to do it. I though posibaly eather Jack or sam resigned so the 2 could finaly hook up

no cus she gave up on Jack and went for the ambasidor now in season 6 epp 16 (morphisis) sam was cosying up to jack in the cell showing that she is getting ever closer to him and dont care who sees it and in every other reality the 2 of them are eather married or ingaged trust me i have nothing better to do at work then whatch the epps
Ham, it would be nice to see our fav lovebirds finally get together, but until Anubis' half-ascended corpse is burning in a pile of donkey-dung, it's not going to happen.
They realize that the Earth needs them more than they need each other right now, so the SGC would come before any relationship they could possibly have.
Back to the topic: Yea, "Homecoming" definately implies someone RETURNING and most likely staying at his home. I'm with everyone else in thinking Jonas will do the commuter thing and try to help his world.
homecomming applies to two things
1- Daniel's return to the SGC and thereby, Earth.
2- Jonas returning to his homeworld, even if just to solve a conflict.
Homecoming does not imply anything about anybody staying anywhere, that's simply speculation.
Hi!
I`m from Germany, and here there`s Season 6 at the moment, but now I`ve read the Episode Guide about Season 7, and I was totally shocked when I saw, that Jonas wasn`t quote (I hope that`s the right word...) at the Character list after Episode Homecoming... I`ve read in this thread that he`s on his homeplanet, but isn`t he shown in the episodes after this episode anymore??? I hate Daniel, and I don`t want him back into the serie!!! =(
Okay, that`s all I wanted to say, and if anybody knows if he comes back again, please, please, please write!!!
Ja mata, Arien
PS: Sorry for my english, I`m not very good in it...

| The Goa'uld use Naquadah in their technology - they were experimenting with Naquadria a long time ago but they gave it up. it is us that uses Naquadria in our technology, that is why our systems are mush smaller and we can fit the equivilant of a Goa'uld hyperdrive in a fighter, when the Goa'uld version of the technology is probibly at least 20 times bigger than the fighter itself. |
well i think is Eps will be the last for Corin Nemec or maybe the season because he is leaveing for ABC new show i dont know the name ... but his show should be good but who knows
Is Fallen the 2nd hour of the premier in June, or is Homecomming a full 2 hours long? I can't wait for Season 7!!!
Jack: ?General, can you hand me the toilet paper, I think we have a Klingon here.?
General Hammond: ?Why didn?t you check the dispenser before you went in there, Colonel??
Teal?c: ?Would you gentleman please refrain from speaking? I had Mexican last night,
and I am having severe difficulty evacuating!?#- SG1 The Bathroom Episode
now that is faul!
i belive fallen is an hour and homecomming is an hour but they both make up the 2 part
Arien- you hate daniel?????
i think you're the first person i've ever heard say that.
the ep sounds ok, although of course it has the obligatory daniel and jonas saving the world together part in it. could kinda see that one coming, couldn't we?
yeah, I was just gonna say that to.....
danny is way cool.... piece..
only 13 more days till the first epsoide in season 7 comes out, 14 till I can d-load it
I agree, I would much rather have Daniel in the show (than jonus).
WoooHoooo....Only one more day till the season 7 premier. I'm going to record every ep. ![]()
I love the SciFi channel !!!
Daniel is cool but i would like to have 5 people in the team is better
I don't know about anyone else, but when the Goa'uld motherships blew Anubis' ship out of the sky, it was a sight to behold. I mean, right out of hyperspace they let loose the guns. Anubis didn't have a chance. He probably started pissing all over himself when he saw he was beat. Ha ha.
as i posted in the other episode spoiler debate:
As I already posted in the discussion boards about the episodes, I was thoroughly upset with the episodes. There was a lot of dead space between lines, very bad on screen chemistry, the episodes were very predicatble. they were drawn out, they could have been combined into one episode. Yu is getting way too old, a new regime will begin with anubis at the head...because we were too dumb to see his escape pod (we ALWAYS see the escape pod jettissen from a blown up mother ship)...and anubis has the naquadria too. if the nequadria was on his ship, the ships explosion would have been 1000 fold and colona would be gone.
thank god i have all the episodes on my computer so that i can watch some good ones, because i was throughly dissapointed in tonights shows.
i am extremely pissed off that jonas has to leave, if the producers know whats best for them they will bring him back to the SGC and put him on SG1 (yes a 5 man team!) after the peace talks are over on his planet. but if they pull another "Daniels grandpa" move, and he dissapears forever as our "delegate" to another world to collect information...i will be extremely pissed off.
also, stargate was always an original series with its own creative ideas. it only borrowed one liners from earth movies and tv shows (wizard of oz and simpsons) to bring some humour and fun to our contacts with other worlds who have no knowledge about these shows and movies.
i was very dissapointed to see that the creative well had run out and they had to borrow scenes and plot lines from other scifi thrillers. and i wasn't thinking too deep into it, the similarity immediatley popped in my head during the briefing, the flight down the gulleys of anubis's ship, the autodefense canons firing upon it, and the missles going down the shaft to the energy core.
my friend immediatley thought of independence day when anubis's ship broke through the clouds over calona.
it was our first thought, not our last. shame on stargate producers for stealing scenes.
Daniel wondering around Anubis's ship lost...funny.
Jonas's send off back to his homeworld...not funny. He didn't even rate a handshake from O'Neill? Well, I guess those two never became friends after all.
Liked where the transport rings were stored, that was very...convenient...and funny.
That's it. I'd say more, but I think my vcr went a little haywire 'cause I'd swear it recorded part of space battle from Return of the Jedi when they were attacking the second Death Star...

Did any one notice the woman from Jonas's home world the other faction was the same woman who played (Margret) the woman who's father found the Stargate in the episode 1969, you know when Daniel went to her house pretending to be the son of a German scientist.
Season 7 has started off a little ordinary maybe Anubus needs a little more character to him.
The show is still awesome and may the series go on forever.
