All new plot details on upcoming Atlantis episode, 'The Brotherhood'!

QUOTE
The team from Atlantis arrives on the planet Dagan, where they meet the friendly Daganians. One woman in particular, Allina, takes a liking to Dr. McKay ... though Rodney is completely oblivious to her flirtation, until his teammates point out that she has a thing for him.

The team is searching for a legendary object the Daganians call the Potentia -- a zero point module, which could power the city of Atlantis' systems, including the shield that would protect them from the Wraith. Allina is amazed to hear that the team has come from the city of the Ancestors.

But what is the "Brotherhood" of which the Daganians speak? And how do they know the Genii, a race that has recently made an enemy of the humans from Earth ("Underground")?
- GateWorld.

I do hope they get that ZPM, they really need one!

Here's a similar report from Chevron Nine:

Sheppard and the rest of the team find themselves on the planet Dangan. The team helps the natives who are in the process of uncovering ancient ruins.

McKay becomes close with one of the natives, a female called Allina. She seems to be attracted to McKay but he keeps missing the signs, however the rest of the team is not so oblivious. They inform him they he has an admirer, but he doesn't know how to handle it.

As they uncover more stones, they learn that the natives are in search of something they call the Potentia. The team learns that what they call the Potentia is in fact a ZPM. McKay is excited by this discovery, anxious to return to Atlantis to power the city's systems as well as the all important defensive shield.?

The Dangians speak of a "brotherhood" unknown to the team, and the situation becomes dangerous when the Genii become invloved.

Here's another similar report. (Why do I get the feeling people are just rewriting the same leaked info? whistling.gif ) :

Stargate Atlantis
Episode: "The Brotherhood"

Sheppard's team finds itself on the world of Dagan where things are going too good to be true. McKay has struck up a friendship with ALLINA, who seems quite attracted to him, although he is clueless to her advances (although the rest of the team is quite observant). Meanwhile, they've also found a much coveted ZPM, which could solve a ton of problems on Atlantis.

Except there's one problem. Insert ominous music wink.gif The Brotherhood. Who are descendents of a race who feel they must complete a task handed down to them by the Ancients. And they're not going to let Sheppard's team get in the way.

Lol! Arcady, some of that info wasn't even worth mentioning, you could have almost put in the " here and there! biggrin.gif Leaked info gets around, its just a matter of who gets the news first, in this case I believe it was GateWorld.

LOL! ... I understand ...

Leaked info gets around, its just a matter of who gets the news first, in this case I believe it was GateWorld ... why think that?

sounds interesting, just hope there is a new and unexpected twist.
maybe the brotherhood is a group of ancients which did not ascend. just guessing.

Ahh, yes, I meant as in citing the same thing, so I say:

GateWorld is the greatest!

then:

" " " "! As well as SG-1 archives!

Do you get it now?

Your right in you comment about me thinking GateWorld got leaked info. The reason being, GateWorld gets news straight from Mallozi (one of the directors) himself, so it probably wasn't "leaked." Its just that I bet the other sites were just gleaning off of GateWorld. Confuzzled.gif

Then again it could be totally different for all I know!?

Can't decide on this one. Wait for it. Depends on the strength of the Genii as opponents.

Posted by: IndyJan Sep 1st 2004, 1:23 PM

Well the Genii are royally ticked off at us, plus, Weir isn't too happy about taking a ZPM from a culture that is using it. If this is just found, that would be one thing, finders, keepers kind of thing. wink.gif Poor McKay just doesn't know how to respond to a female! biggrin.gif Other than that, I'll wait to see the show before saying anything else.

Posted by: Aquila Sep 25th 2004, 12:21 AM

After seeing part I of," The Storm," I think this story will clear up anything that has been left untouched concerning the Genii. Through this episode, I'm sure the Atlantis team will deduce how the Genii came to take the base, and through whom they got their info.

Ahh, I can't wait for the upcoming episodes! w00t.gif

all the reports show no spoilers..they're all synopsis's...
I want some real spoilers...and i sound like a cow.
So does anyone know what else is happening in this episode?

Posted by: ChibiSam Sep 25th 2004, 7:05 AM

I think it will be some time before they get a ZPM. Having a ZPM would solve too many problems and elimate future stories.

I think that or the brotherhood is a group of genii

I think it's early enough in the series to suspect that the Brotherhood will be a new species. Maybe their supposed to be watching over the Pegasus humans and figure the Genni to be the best hope for defeating the Wraith. Maybe they've even helped arm the Genni. Pure speculation, of course, but who knows...

Would be cool if they find a ZPM... I wonder would it even look the same

Posted by: Evo Nov 14th 2004, 5:52 AM

I think that Brotherhood could be a new species that we will see in this episode. I don't see how they're going to convince the people to give them their ZPM.

-Bit of off topic-

How come the other spoilers dont mention anything about Sora? Was she returned to the Genii or did she decide that she was going to stay in the city, not as a prisoner but as a friend?

I think at this point she's still being held prisoner, as she hasn't been mentioned since the end of 1x11. I was kind of hoping that we'd learn a bit more from her...

Weir thought about giving her back, as a sign of good willing, but i think they would show that...

Posted by: Christy Dec 24th 2004, 3:24 AM

i think Sora should be mentioned because it something which hasn't been discussed since 'The Eye'

Posted by: projectle Dec 31st 2004, 11:34 AM

She will probably be brought ut in the next episode about the Genii (a name that is obviously a rip off from Star Wars) return. It may very well be in this episode, although we will have no idea untilwe get some more concrete information.

As well, Wier did say "We should keep her locked up for the time being..."

QUOTE
DAEMONS

In Greek and Roman mythology, the daemons (or genii) were an order of invisible beings. The Greeks believed them to be inferior deities and that Zeus assigned one daemon to each man and woman at his birth, to attend, protect and guide him or her and at his or her death dying with him or her. They were nameless, and like the multitude of mankind, innumerable. Some of them acted as personal attendants to deities of a higher order, and in that case were represented under particular forms, and enjoyed distinctive names, while others were believed to watch over particular districts, towns or nations. The Romans belived them tobe intermediate beings linking mankind with the gods.

Atlantis seems to be relying more on Greek mythology than the original. The Atlantis myth is another example.

Sorry! Made a mistake. The brotherhood is an almost extinct group that made the nine puzzle pieces to protect the ZPM. Koyla is just there because they want to see what Atlantis is up to. And the Wraith will be there in 2 weeks, not one. Sorry!
