I wonder why they were so young. You'd think Apophis would want sturdier, older men since the larva would keep them young. I guess it shows how desperate he was for jaffa in his losing war against sokar.

But Teal'c was a lot older, and far more buff than those guys. They were like 18 years old.

I'm sure Apophis doesn't swing that way. He did knock up Sha're afterall.

Jack: What do you call these?
Teal'c: Intar.
Jack: What's that short for?
Teal'c: Intar.
Jack: "Shrug"

I like those funny/serious episodes like this one. It was cool.

Those were not Jaffa. They were just regular kids taken from there homes in other parts of Apophis's territory. They didn't have Jaffa Pouches. Sam tells jack that on the way through the camp. She noticed because she was checking out the hot guys that didn't have their shirts on. She just need SOME!.

The young are more impressionable. An older group would be more likely to go: "You want us to do WHAT? With WHICH?" Also, as Carter mentioned, they were not Jaffa (no symbiote pouches); not even the ones who were dressed as Jaffa. Teal'c said that the System Lords often used normal humans as "fodder", especially if they were in a losing position.

I liked this episode, it had lots of humor and fighting. (that "this is O'Neill, he is much loved by Apophis" line is just too funny.

Question: Did it ever say WHERE the boys were from? O'Neill tells them all they can "go home now", but I don't remember them specifying where that might have been.

I think they were from different worlds.

Im still undecided in whether or not i liked this ep. The first time i saw it i thought it was ok, but when i saw it for a second time i thought it was crap. Mabye its one of those episodes where to see it once is enough.

Yeah, the only worthwhile thing about it is that the SGC now have intars.

I have a question regarding this episode;

Howcome those kids didn't reconize Teal'c's face; or atleast his name? According to the season four episode "Tangent" Apophis completely changed everything around after Teal'c betrayed him (recall systems in Death Glider's etc..), this would indicate that Teal'c is now a sworn enemy of apophis, and since those kids were set to attack the Tari Teal'c would have been a prime target for sure. Yet for some reason no one reconized either his name or his face (I think that it would have been a bit more believable if they had Teal'c make up another name).

It was said that the Jaffa masters that trained them abandoned them long ago... wouldn't that mean that it was probably before Teal'c betrayed Apophis? Long ago does seem to imply many years. It was probably therefore even before Teal'c became First Prime of Apophis.

Yes but then why would they be preparing for an attack against earth? Clearly Earth didn't become a threat to Apophis until after Teal'c betrayed him, and besides didn't one of the Jaffa masters show one of the kids the cave where they were hiding the real earth weapons? This would mean that the Jaffa masters were still around until after the SG-11 team was captured, and after Teal'c betrayed Apophis.

My favorite part is where Jack is eating the tuna sandwhich. That was hilarious. This was a good episode to watch.
