Quite a powerful little episode in my opinion. I really expected Martouf to cave in though, and his strength surprised me.

I found it funny that Apophis believed Martouf without question. He must be very confident in his information extraction techniques.

You've got to love the Goauld, they are so up themselves they don't see it coming till it hits them. Either that or they are stupid.

i was thinking of doing my bedroom likes sokars hell pretty neat but expensive so i just went for the green and lilac instead.
does anyone else think carmen argenziano (jacob) is an amazing actor and plus him and amanda tapping do actually make it seem very realistic with their father and daughter act. |

I wonder why Sokar never saw Apophis' treachery coming. He did afterall have this huge thing on his forearm with a spike that protruded from it.

yeah but didnt apothis ahve it covered and plus he probaly didnt see apothis' treachery coming because apothis was pretty desperate to get his title as a respected system lord back and he wanted to see the tokra be taken over and he wanted to kill sg-1.

Ok so here's a question -
The BLOOD OF SOLKAR stuff right? It makes Sam relive that horrible moment when she finds out her mother is dead, and with Martouf its the last time he sees his lover. Then with Jack its when his son dies. All traumatic experiences right? So why then does it make Danny think of any other day back at the base talking to Jack in his office? Is he subliminally saying that jack is a traumatic experience? Makes you wonder huh? No? Just me then? |

no, it was just that apophis thought that was the best way to get info out of danny. jack and sam both are the type of person that nightmares will weaken, where danny is easier to get to if he's just talking like a normal person. if he saw, say, shar'e again as a goa'uld, i think he'd just clamp up and not say anything. and that blood of sokar stuff was nasty anyway.
am i the only person who thought sokar reminded me of the emperor in star wars? |

i wouldnt know...i dont watch star wars! i atleast thought in the whole episode they would of taken Jacob Carter for questioning because he was already weak and apothis probaly could of used sam to get to Jacob. |

When apophis revealed himself at the end, that gave a very big shocked, i wasn't expecting him to come, so i was happy to see Apophis back, Sokar was cool, but his short time of ruling came to a quick end, thanks to Apophis brillant plan.

I'll have to go back and watch this episode again, but when Sam was talking to Daniel about the horrible things that happened to Jolinar, was she saying that Sokar raped her, or was she just talking about how she had to have sex with that one-eyed guy in order to escape? In one of the flashbacks, I think Sokar was there and then Sam tells Daniel that things worse then being tortured happened to her. Something like that.

It doesn't really show. It just shows her being tortured and then goes to her stripping and then going to bed with some guy then in the middle of the night KNIFE!

Nope, I was mistaken. I watched it again, and she said "Another Goa'uld, not Sokar" so she was talking about Binar, or whatever his name was.

Has anybody got a clue as to how the Tok'ra decide whether to send guards with their emissaries? Or how many? Martouf has always shown up with two (in the episodes I have seen so far). Jacob had one the first time (he died) and none the second. I also wonder how they decide who is going to be a guard. They seem to vary across the spectrum as far as age is concerned.

Yes, there was some humour in it, but if you want real stargate humour, you have to look no further than "Window of Opportunity" from season 4.
