This was a great episode. I love how they brought Apophis back. Apophis is the only Goa'uld system lord that had a really big personal grudge against SG-1. That made him the perfect enemy. The guy we love to hate. smile.gif Plus the irony of SG-1 helping him rise to power again after taking him down.

I hate it when they run the credits to side and squeeze them so small you can't read them... did J.R. Bourne play Goa'uld System Lord Sokar as well as Martouf? If not, they sure look alike.

Hopefully not, but it depends on what the powers that be decide. We'll just have to wait and see.

Ya, the Doc is on screen about as much as Hammond and that guy with the classes that controls the Iris so she should be on the credits. I also agree that Sam should stay second. Daniel should be the last member of SG-1 who's name is shown as he is a newcomer (amnesia).

ok, to get back on track and away from gripes about the credits, this episode really does belong in a big way to the relationship between Jacob and Sam, which was great to see both in the present and flashbacks. The only minor problem I had was that they didn't (couldn't?) get the same kid who played Charlie before to reprise the role for Jack's flashbacks.... I'm, a bit of a stickler for that kind of continuity....

i love the father and daughter factor of this episode actually cause its like even if the tokra were willing to and sg-1 had a way of escape and they would ahve to leave jacoba dnif jacob told her to go i dont think she would leave i think she'd be like to hell with you guys this is my dad and im not leaving.
for season 7 one of the producers wants to explore jacob's and sam's father and daughter relationship further and i actually think its a good idea dont have a clue if theyre going ahead with it but thats what i read.

The guy who played Sokar is David Palffy.

I heard they used no makeup for his face. That's the way he looks in real life. j/k tongue.gif

the only thing i liked about The Devil You Know was that Apophis had the most powerful Goa'uld army that he stole from Sokar and the past memories that we got to see from Sam, Jack and Daniel of and Marty.

The original actor who played Charlie would be two years older. Kids change a lot at that age... blink.gif

I don't think I would have the guts to do what Daniel did. Hitting that guard in the hope that he would ONLY knock me across the room. Not so much the geeky bookworm as he would like to pretend. w00t.gif laugh.gif w00t.gif laugh.gif

I think it is interesting how rarely Lantash 'manifests'. Once in the first episode, once in the second, once (or twice) in the third and not at all in these two. I noticed that with a lot of the Tok'ra. I wonder if it is because, since they are dealing with unblended humans, they let the host do the talking.
