This episode was pretty sweet. At first, I wasn't sure if he was dreaming, or if he was going to time travel back or something. Hathor's involvement was a very unusual twist though. I found it strange that the future didn't have records of the past SG-1 adventures. That was almost a dead give-away to the fact that it was an illusion. It reminded me of an episode of Star Trek

we never can kill evil people the first time we meet them. if we had killed hathor back in season 1 this never would have happened.

That was definately weird how they just let her walk away; no pomp or ceremony, just high tail it out the back door. Seems they could have come up with something a little better I would've thought.

In the second part of this set, which was actually the first episode of season three. She ends up taking a bath in the cryogenic tank.
Now, we assume that she is dead, but you never really know with a Goa'uld like her do you? |

I didn't think that we needed the flashback to know that Hathor escaped. I thought that we actually saw her leaving the SGC using the stargate at the end of the episode in season 1. She's standing right there at the gate when SG-1 comes into the room. The gate has already been dialled out and she turns to look, and then just leaves through it. So it wasn't like it was a big secret that she escaped. The SGC knew that she had escaped.

Ya, but the question is how did she get out of that tub? I mean she slipped down, then walked out the door in the background. But does that mean the tub has a shoot leading to the back of the room? And why didn't the water go down with her?

She never got out of the tub. She fell into it, and somehow ended up on the other side of the room. Weird tub. |

Well, this could have been a better episode if it was not a clip's episode. And if they kept the plot on O'neill for the first half as he was beginning to suspect what was going on. Then the second half finding out what was up. I just do not like clips episodes.. especially for season finale?!!

If I remember correctly, she is shot by SC and slides down into the "tub". SC and O'Neill are then seen helping everyone else out of the room, at which point the camera goes back to the "tub", which has since burst into flames, but you can vaguely see Hathor making her way out a side door through the smoke. So she could simply have got out whie they were busy and the camera wasn't on her. And in terms of this being a clip episode, yes, it was a little on the cheap side to do it this way. But at least it made sense in the context of the plot. Hathor is trying to find out what has been happening in the universe without really exposing her hand. For example she naively says at one point - "How do we contact these Asgard?", seemingly thinking that they would be willing to make an alliance with her. Obviously the Goa'uld had not yet encountered, and lost a fight with, the Asgard at the time that Hathor had been banished to that sarcophagus by Ra. So while you might like something better, at least the whole episode wasn't like that. |

Very clever, very sneaky episode, I loved it. You sort of know what's going on about half way through, but it's not until right near the end that it all comes together. Very cool

Ooo ya. I've never seen this one before. Just got done watching it last night.
I love Hathor. She is hot and sweet and sexy. Yum! Good episode. Teal'c couldn't be taken because his gou'ald would tell him that they weren't in the SGC but some ship. neat premise. 1 thing. If Jack and Sam and Daniel are all on the ship for 3 weeks prior to waking up. what were they doing the whole time? Doc said that Teal'c was out for 3 weeks before he woke up. that sucks. Can't wait to see the next one. I haven't watched Part 2 yet. |
