Season 2, Episode 20 - Show and Tell
Original Air Date: February 26, 1999

A young boy arrives at the SGC with his mother, a member of the invisible Reetou race. He says the Goa'uld destroyed their home planet, and now Reetou rebels intend to kill all humans. The rebels think that by killing all potential hosts for the Goa'uld, they will eliminate the Goa'uld themselves.

to be honest this was one of stargates letdowns it really wasnt a strong story line or as witty and uplifting as most stargate episodes to me it felt like this episode should have been summin to do with a totally differant series like the x-files? i just didnt agree with this episode at all. whistling.gif

I agree, it didn't feel right. Although overall an ok episode, I do re-watch it from time to time. It seems a shame to waste that many Reeto and not use them in future eps, but, yeah, not that interesting I guess.

Saw the ep is widescreen DVD yesterday and liked it much better. I had only ever seen it in 2" square Windows media format before that. Perhaps they can join the rescue calvalry to save the Earthens in the final episode?!??! I can see it now, in walks the Tollan, the Tok'ra, the Ancients, the Furlings, the Unas, the Asgard (are floating overhead), the Nox, the Elves (oops, wrong show) and the Reeto with Charley at the helm...

The funny thing is that boy plays a genetically enhanced boy on the X-files with mindreading powers. He is a big part of the main storyline. He played expert chess and was involved in finding Moulder.

At the very least Charlie was genetically engineered to see his Mother, if not all reetou. So why didn't he warn anyone about the two rebels that were in the room with him? For that matter why didn't Mother take them out? The best part about this episode was Jack and Daniel mouthing and pantomiming their dialogue in the hall outside the infirmary before they enter the room and locate the last two rebels.

I liked it when Sam came into the room and Daniel swiveled around and pointed the TER at her. Her thoughts were obvious! "Oh, 'bleep". Nervious civilian with a gun!" Up went the hands. w00t.gif

I liked when Daniel and O'Neill were about to go into a room, and O'Neill is doing his usual military sign language, and Daniel responds with his own sign language, mouthing the words "there are people in there". I thought that scene was funny.

I caught that, too, and don't know what it meant either.

I assume the the Reetou (sp?) know about the Tok'ra, because I can't imagine Charlie being so calm about being shipped off with them otherwise.

I can't believe there's not yet another episode on the reetu. I think they are quite an advanced race, at least they are still holding a fight against the Goa'uld. And didn't just get wiped out.

I think it would be quite interesting to learn their science and technology.

This was a great idea to introduce a new enemy in the Retoo, and they should be in more episodes.
