Season 1, Episode 16 - Enigma
Original Air Date: January 30, 1998

The SG-1 team arrives on the planet Tollan to find a scene of chaos and death. A volcano is erupting, spewing choking ash and burning lava, and bodies litter the ground around the Stargate. The team gathers up a few survivors and returns through the gate to Earth. The Tollans, however, are not grateful for being rescued.

this episode is so cool and isnt sams cat cute.
garwin sanford (narim) and amanda tapping had a brilliant on screen atmosphere.

sam:air-in pockets from 1500 down to 200 degrees.

Cool episode we meet a well advanced race, I find it funny how we meet them all so early on, and we don't meet any new ones really in the next series well that are nice anyway, I mean we do have the Aschen!!!! Bastards

Don't get me started on the Aschen and who they resemble in real life, hint hint...

I thought this about the greatest episode of all time, yeah I say that about alot, but this is certainly up there with the best.

The last scene, the last few minutes, pure magic! I watch that ending over and over and over and it gets me everytime. It just sums up so much. Where we all fit in in life and more. She just waltzes in, shakes a head, raises a finger and..... goose bumps.

Ohh, don't dislike them, just don't care much, can take 'em or leave 'em. Dogs/puppies are nice, birds are cool. Hey, what's the topic of this thread??? Better go check...

Oh, yeah, the Tollan guys, what else can we say?? I honestly liked this ep alot. Surely they're not all history though, I mean it was a whole race, can one mother ship with a pi**ed Goa'uld at the helm do that much damage??

no she did care you can tell that they care about each other its just that narim cares a bit more than sam does.

no hes not orlin and i wreckon sam and orlin did go better together than narim and sam there was more chemistry but there was summin there with sam and narim some sort of spark trust me i pick up on these things very well. tongue.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

right do u know when you go out with some1 your not inlove with them straight away you might just have some sort of feelings for them but not love. im pretty sure thats how sam felt judging on the characters atmosphere together.

In an attempt to de-spam-ify this thread.... I wonder why the Tollan were so eager to go with Lya? I know they had no choice, but it seems they were arrogant enough with every other offer, so when this hippy (Lya) walks through the gate how did they know she was any different?

praps because they felt the nox was a equal race cause they both are very intelligent races and plus they also are just as advanced but the nox are cooler cause they can bring ppl back to life but hey the tollans can walk through walls.
