Season 1, Episode 15 - Cor-ai
Original Air Date: January 23, 1998

When the SG-1 team travels to P3X-1279, Teal'c recognizes it immediately as Cartago, home to the Byrsa and one of the Goa'ulds' favorite places to harvest humans for assimilation. Teal'c had come here when he was head Jaffa to Apophis. He is remembered by one of the Byrsa, who accuses Teal'c of killing his father.

Teal'c's six pack, plus his sturdy buff look went away with season 2. He starts to get chubby laugh.gif Blame McDonald's. He wasn't a bad guy, and he did kill the old man in order to help the people escape the next time Apophis wanted to pay them a visit. He did what good he could, like Bra'tac taught him.

Are you meaning people as in fans? In which case I've never met anyone who didn't think of Teal'c as some cosmic teddy bear. Or are you meaning people/races in the show? In which case can you blame them? All the stuff Jaffa have done, why should they trust one just because Daniel or Jonas says "he's a friend"???

Yeah does seem strange Brata'c has gotten away for so long. Granted Apophis is no more (no arguements pls, we KNOW he'll be back), but before that he shouldn't taken out Brata'c - he seemed to have done more traitor-ing then Teal'c ever did.

And how is it that guy on the planet even remembered Teal'c? I mean, 15 billion Jaffa who, let's face it, all look the same, and the kid was just that "a kid" at the time. And probably a scared sh**less kid at that.

Oh come on, you can't be serious. The God Apophis and all his mighty Jaffa couldn't wipe out one insignificant 135 yo Jaffa? The fans would kill him if he did I guess - ha ha haaa....

Yes but only the Jaffa that join the rebellion etc have realised the false gods; the other ones still in the service still believe in the gods and would die to do anything that was required - including kill Brata'c.

But doesn't "dying with great honour" require people to realise the importance of what you're doing? I mean, sure the SGC would recognise Brata'c great honour, but would the Jaffa population? Don't forget they're still believing in their God - hey, WHO is their God now by the way? I never thought about it. I mean the ones that used to worship the ground Apophis slimed across.

Possibly not, but he has been shown to bend rules before. Perhaps in the name of 'strategy' he would authorise some serious butt kickin'.

Actually, a little off topic, but related - how do you all feel about the son "judging" the father's killer as "only he can fully understand the pain suffered"??? In our laws we must have a neutral judge, but is this the best way?
