Season 1, Episode 14 - Singularity
Original Air Date: October 31, 1997

The SG-1 team travels to planet P8X-987, where they discover that a strange disease has wiped out everyone on the planet. Everyone that is, except a little girl named Cassandra. As O'Neill and Teal'c remain on the planet to observe the black hole, Carter and Daniel return to Earth with the girl.

in season 1 this was amanda tappings best episode shwe acted out the emotian so well and that scene in the lift was so touching i actually shed a few tears
in think this was one of my faves out of the whole season and the actress who plays cassandra (katie stewart) was so amazing for an actress so young. biggrin.gif

They should have brought her back as Cassandra later on. She is cool. I remember her from that TV series The Crow (might have had some other words in it). Sam really cared about Cassandra, and was going to stay with her even if she was going to explode. That was quite the something. But I knew Sam wouldn't die. They can't kill off Sam, especially not in season 1. Because I know that characters usually don't die off in season 1 of any series, it was not much of a surprise when the bomb never went off. It was still good though. Kinda makes you hate Nurti too.

i didnt really think sam was the maternal kind until i saw this episode cause shse dedicated to her job and doesnt really have time to have a kid and take care of one but this episode obiviously proves me wrong and shows that sam works well with kids and amanda tapping can really delve into a acting relationship with young child actors its amazing how well the younger generations and older generations work together. biggrin.gif

Ok I'm going to get shot down in flames for saying this, and lose any respect I may have gained here, but I thought Cassandra the most annoying, frustrating, idiotic character/actress ever!

She's my number one hate there (closely followed by Share actually). I don't know what it is, just they rub me the wrong way.

I'm certain it was the same actress who played Cassandra at the beginning of season 2 when Carter has Jolinar in her - In the Line of Duty. But then in the later episode when Nirrti comes to the SGC it's a different actress - which could well have been simply because the other actress was not available as much as anything else.

yeah i didnt really get on with him niether he annoyed me.
cassandra annoyed me in the season 5 episode is rite of passage or summin like that i didnt really lik her in that episode.
