EVOLUTION [Earth-bound] [possibly some Off-World?]
In this two-parter, the team has a few problems to deal with. Info is sketchy on Carter's problem, which has something to do with finding the source of a warrior. Hopefully more information will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, Daniel and several archeologists are down in the jungles of Honduras searching for some ancient alien device and a sarcophagus, but instead they are abducted by rebels who specialize in selling kidnapped Americans back to companies, families, etc. The situation turns sour when the rebels fool around with the alien device, and also resort to torture to get information. And apparently the device begins to adversely affect Rafael, the leader of the rebels. Great news for Jack fans. His ugly black ops background appears to rear its ugly head as he's going down to the jungle (with a team?) to rescue Daniel and the other archeologists. The man who must work with Jack is Burke, an ex-CIA agent who once worked with Jack, and got burned badly when an operation went bad. Potential characters include: Rafael (leader of rebels), Burke (CIA agent), Chalo (rebel flunkie) #thanks to 'ferret' for the info http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sg1_spoilme |

Nice. SOme down and dirty action. If this is indeed the last season the producers are going all out to leave a lasting impression.

Here's some updated information about this two-part episode:
14 & 15 - EVOLUTION (tentative title) [E] [OW?] (focuses on Daniel/Sam and team) Written by: Damian Kindler Directed by: Peter DeLuise Synopsis: In this two-parter, the team has a few problems to deal with. Daniel is dealing with dangerous rebels on Earth, while Sam is dealing with dangerous Jaffa warriors. UPDATED: 05/19/03: The episode opens with a massacre of Jaffa on another planet. Apparently some Gou'ald treachery occurred, leaving a dead Gou'ald there amongst the Jaffa. Bra'Tac and Teal'c assume a slaughter from opposing forces but a survivor says it was the work of just one warrior - who then attacks the pair. They survive, returning to Earth. SG-1 and SG-3 go back to the planet to capture a warrior. The plan goes awry, leaving a few men injured and the team captured by Ramius, a Gou'ald 'god'. Soon they realize any injuries to others may be nothing more than collateral damage as the Warriors seemed 'programmed' to wipe out Gou'ald competition. Things look dire until a Jaffa Commander releases them. The Warrior claimed his target. Somehow, the team manages to capture one of these super Warriors, who apparently can do without air for a while. The massive warrior works for Anubis, and his only task is to eliminate Anubis' enemies. Daniel, along with fellow archeologists Professor Paulson and Professor Sims, and Dr. Lee, meet a guide in a bar in the Honduras. They're searching for a particular temple, and their guide leads them there where they find the alien device they're seeking - a Telchak - but trip off a booby trap ala Raiders of the Lost Ark. Daniel and a professor escape alive, but fall right into the hands of Rafael, a rebel who specializes in abducting Americans and selling them back to their bosses, families, etc. for cold hard cash. Daniel tries playing dumb (just an archeologist, nothing more) but Rafael doesn't believe him and isn't beyond killing one or two of the kidnap victims to extort the US government to pay up for the survivors. Part 2. Having been apprised that Daniel and the archeologist have been kidnapped, Jack goes down to the Hondorus to rescue his friend. He must work with Burke, a CIA operative who's been down there too long. He's also a bad reminder of O'Neill's black ops days - apparently when an operation went bad, Burke shot a fellow agent, and O'Neill did not stick up for him. Burke blames him for his current predicament. Burke decides not to cooperate, leaving Jack to grab any guide he can find to get over the mountains. However, the man does his job and is actually ahead of O'Neill in the jungle. Meanwhile, Rafael is torturing his prisoners, and not all can withstand the torment. But worse, Rafael turns on the Telchak device, which aon't good. The alien radiation begins to adversely affect his personality. He believes the device is some kind of fountain of youth, but instead becomes irrational and violent, beating up on Daniel when he doesn't get answers to his questions. Burke and Jack continue to move in, and Burke finally reveals the truth that split apart their friendship years ago. Sam, Jacob and Teal'c are going after the Warriors and Anubis. Characters include: Anubis, Bra'tac, Rafael (rebel leader), Burke (disgruntled former CIA agent), Chalo (rebel flunkie), Adal (young rebel Jaffa), Bekken (Jaffa Warrior), Ramius, Ramiu's First Prime, Thoth (Anubis flunkie), Pedro (guide/waiter), Professor Sims, Warrior, Rogeilo Duran (guide), Professor Paulson, Jaffa Guard, Jaffa Commander, Major Shelby (SG-3), Dr. Lee (from Paradise Lost), Colonel Reynolds (SG-3). #thanks to 'ferret' for the update http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sg1_spoilme/ |

Yeah, I can't wait to get Jack doing the black ops jungle stalk.
Seriously though, how many people has O'Neill had falling outs with, revealed and painfully mended before our new friend dies? Besides the rest of the team, does anyone on SG-1 have any friend that aren't dead or aliens? |

this should be great to see jack back in his original element, where he's comfortable, and doesn't have to worry about a man eating platypus looking thing jumping out and taking a chunk outta his arse. this should be not only fun to watch, but we get a little more background on jack.

all we know is that he wasn't a kid by the way he looked at daniel when danny mentioned how old he was that year. he could very well have been in the air force at that time. (i mean, how old is RDA? he was macgyver in the 70s, so...) |

Yeah, why does O'Neill always dislike his former team members? There's been like what, 4 of them that have been on the show who he doesn't like. I'm guessing O'Neill wasn't very likeable back in the day...

Uh, he was MacGyver in the late 80's into the early 90's... RDA was born on January 23, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. |

this ep sounds like it is going to be lots of fun, although i wish they would stop making daniel the target for all the kidnapping and hostage stuff. he can shoot and be military....hey!! they could maybe do it so that daniel helps jack get the other out when they meet up!! that would be great, rambo jack and daniel fighting people in the middle of the jungle....

We've only met two. In a career as long as Jack's (if he retired, it was at least 20 years), there would have been dozens, if not hundreds. Meetings with guys he parted with on good terms would probably pass without mention. How exciting would it be to watch to old buds drinking beers after work? Also, don't forget. There was the team shown in the "Gamekeeper". Granted at least one died, but I think at least one (whoever Teal'c was supposed to be prepresenting) besides Jack got away. |

Is this gonna be shown in the 1st half of season 7 or the second half?
Coz I don't wanna wait months to see it- it sounds cool. I love these 2-parters- they're so exciting! Damn Sci-fi channel and their silly schedule! Making us wait for the second half of the season... |

i didn't know they make you wait!! nooooooo!!! well i will have to watch reruns and other things to hold myself over. hmmm, these eps are right in the middle, they may show one in the first half, and then show the second leading into the second half. sort of a mini season finally/ premiere thing. this ep still sounds absolutely great though, no matter when they show it.

I can't wait to see Anubis new super soldier either, one thing that i am wondering about is what weapon they will have, a staff weapon or a zat gun or something completly different.
Here is a picture of O'Niells former soldier mate. This post has been edited by StargateSG-1_Fan: Jul 27th 2003, 6:52 PM |
