I think it was great that we got to see back into Teal'cs past, which was a bit of a dark period until this episode.
Also great to see Bra'tac back again. |

I hate the fact that we've only just seen the episode in England (I don't have sky
Anyway... having seen future episodes... and almost all of the previous season, it's good to see one where they actually explain the reason behind Teal'c saving sg-1... Role one the next episode!! |

Maybe Bratac can have himself cloned and transfer his consciousness over as a favour from the Asgard.

uh, about the episode, i really thought that it made Teal'c's desicion in Children of the Gods a lot clearer. before this episode, i was just like, "Why did he do that?" Sure, i thought he was a great guy, but it just made more sense.

I have just finished watching this episode for the first time, and I would have to say that this has got to be one of the best episodes and most emotional of all seasons! It has been looooong due to explain the motives behind Teal'c decision in "Children of the gods." When I watched that episode for the first time I found it rather bizarre having the first prime of Apophis betray him just like that. This episode provides us the build up that led Teal'c to that moment, and boy was it convincing!
So far Teal'c's character was never explained. We were never told of how deep is his relationship with Bra'tac. But I think that it was worth the wait to finally come to a great episode as this. I have always been wondering how can a character so moral and so ethical develop within the Jaffa society under the service of a goa'uld. Having an evil god makes it very difficult to develop moral worshippers. But they showed us the gradual build up nicely. The last dream where Teal'c's history with SG-1 passes by quickly is so emotional that I even had goosebumps! |

gotta say im taking the bra'tac news alot easier cause he lived lot of years nd i mean alot hes very wise and brave and gret warrior and hes passed that on to tealc by trining him so in a way we will still have bra'tac.

Ha ha. I can see it now: Apophis: "Teal'c, I am your father" Teal'c: "No! That's impossible! I don't believe you. *pause* If your my father, then who's my mother?" Apophis: "No one. I birthed you myself. A virgance in the force occured." Teal'c: "What the hell?! I'm a freak!! Oh, dear God, nooooooo!!" |

I just saw this episode. I really loved it. It was great to see a sort of Teal'C "prequel", especially the part with Children of the Gods. I loved how they showed him talking to Bra'tac with SG-1 shown in prison, and what he thought of them. I agree that it gave more insight into why he saved them. I've always loved that scene with Jack shouting "I can save these people!" and Teal'c says "Many have said that! But you are the first I can believe can do it!" It still gives me chills whenever I see it. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
And I loved the fast clips they showed at the end...that was really cool. |

Yea when i saw that i was like, "whoa!" This was good because we got to see a little deeper into Teal'c's past that hadn't been seen. I haven't seen Children of the Gods so I have a vague idea of how Teal'c joined the team, just from it being addressed on the show. I loved how the team stood by Teal'c as he tried to choose what he believed. It was hardest, of course, for Dr. Frasier to stand by and not do anything. It was neat to see the Teal'c would do it all over again if he had the chance. It shows just how good sg1 is to him.

This was a really good episode, as many have said, because it explains why Teal'c did what he did in 'Children of the Gods'. I thought the part where Teal'c spares Valar's life and gets away with it was done really well. You can see how pivotal it is.

Ive watched this episode countless times and one thing that really touches me is when the team take it turns to talk to teal'c.I find those scenes so emotional and so well acted.
One more thing Christopher Judges bi-ceps are so gorgous. |
