i dont actually think the tollans are dead cause i think a good percentage of them got away and hopefully narim was one of them i think they could write a great episode based on narim coming back. IPB Image

Im sorry for the tollans and I dont think they will have the strength to revive...and I wanted that in the end of the episod, Sg1 received one of that cool arm device...but I guess that would be in contradiction with their (tollans) politics...too bad smile.gif

I don?t understand why it is that every one feels so sorry for the Tolans. Ok so they?re not the bad guys, but then again their not exactly good Samaritans are they. I mean, they have known about the Gould for centuries and they know what the Gould do to other races. They also have it within their power to stop them. But they don?t. And why? Because their isolationists. And so what! Billions of innocent people have died at the hands of the Gould and the tolans have sat by for centuries and let this happen.
I mean its not like its beyond them to stop the Gould. If you ask me both the Tolan and the Asgard are getting what they deserve for letting so many innocent people die for centuries, simply because they feel too high and mighty to care about the little primitive people.
Ok at least the Asgard made that protected planets treaty but so what. They could have stopped the Gould altogether but no; they will only protect a few planets and let the rest suffer needlessly at Gould hands. And look at them now. Have you seen the final episode of the season? The Gould now evenly matches the Asgard because now the Gould ships (at least Anubis ones) are impervious to Asgard weaponry.
Anyway if you ask me the Tolans got what they deserved for so many centuries of turning a blind eye to the suffering of other cultures. But hey their technology is cool though.

The Tollan are wusses that were afraid to fight. They were also too stupid to continue weapons research once they got the Ion Cannon, thinking it was impossible for the Goa'uld to develop new shields.

Narim is alright though.

I guess you haven't seen all the Stargate episodes if you didn't know what happened in this one. But Sam had said that it is impossible for humans to reverse engineer any Tollan technology because it will take 100 years to even begin to understand it. That is why we had to ask for more Ion Cannons. We couldn't make more if we wanted to and had 1 to work from.

anyway if they did give us and ion cannons theyd be no good anyway plus the tollans are worried that if they give earth their technology it will destroy them like it did on a previous planet.

Why do you say that? Just cuase they made a startgate themselves? I'm sure the Asgaurd could do the same thing... if they wanted to.

Personally I dont think they could rival the ancients... but thats just my personal opinion...

yeah i think the nox could rival the ancients but im not sure about the tollans theyre just to secretive if they did allow us to try and use the weapons when we first meet them and their useful (the cannons im on about) then maybe we could of helped them make new weapons and with their advanced technology and sams knowledge we could make one kick ass weapon.

I hope they bring the Nox back into the fold... I personally liked them... Being Part Native American, I am sorta into that whole Nature thing... learning about natrual cures to things... Besides.. they can just wave their hand and make things happen (disapear, open the star gate)
I want to do that! cool.gif

If nothing else, the Tollana episodes gave Jack an oportunity to bitch and growl. He sooooo hates those guys and it make for very entertaining episodes.

I agree about Narim though - he was cool and the cat is Sooooo cute!

dry.gif I never really understood the whole "phasing through matter" armband things, wouldnt it make more sense to use technology like that on those huge cannon things they use to protect their planet, or at least as a defensive measure like on ships and what-not. Think about it "I can hit you but you cant hit me" hehe you could even put "GOD MODE" on the button that activates it lol.

Well maybe the phase-shift device only worked against matter and not energy?
The Tollan handguns suggest that (otherwise the firefight boils down to who disengage the phase-shift device last)

And I would say that probarly jack and teal'c were freed of the tollan stuff when captured at the amory, and still if the got themselfs a phase-shift device it can't really be manufactured on other around now, so it's only one. It's strategic value is limited
