They already have hyperspace tech, because it said that they only discovered the stargate on another planet then they found the one on theres and worked out to link those two or so and that was it, but only a few have been connected because of the whole galactic drift thing, they need to know the original symbols so they can work out how they have changed

I think it wasnt hyperspace technology. It was only planets within their system, so they had interspace technology (about half speed of light) but if they tried reaching anywhere outside their solar system, it would take a very long time... You might be right but I needed to watch the episode again but I havent got it. Its the one reason why they need to get the stargate working so they can travel between systems. |

Was anyone sad that Sam never got to know that Chris Cousins was going to be the man she married from the eppy '2010'? I was crying that poor Sam did not get to know him at all. Okay, so I am a romantic but did he have to die...It was a good eppy, but I wish someone would shut down the Aschen once and for all.

the aschens would be such a cool enemy way apart from the gould.
theyll possibly be a bit harder to defeat and steal stuff from but hey we can always try and try and try till we eventually get what we want. |

well i think that mabe the writers will get rid of the system lords and bring out something like the achen found the replicators and got them out so they became allies and began taking over the universe!!! now that would be a good twist!

Did anyone-else notice that when Kinsey walks off at the end and Jack shouts "It's O'Neill with Two L's" he holds up three fingers. Has he finally lost the plot?

Unfortunately it would cause more of an uproar to lose a senator than an ambassador. Exposure of the SGC would most certainly be at risk. Then again governments do a very good job at covering things up.

The Replicators would eat everything the Aschen have and kill them. They don't need or want allies. |

I guess the writers have made up their minds by saying there will not be a return appearance by the Ashen. It would be nice to see a third and final encounter with these guys. They have to be at least a little pissed with the SGC due to all those nice gate addresses that was left to them.
I would love to know where the other addresses led to. |

yes well senetor kinsey was not even worth the 2 fingers let alone the 3 fingers so he was just not wasting a perfectly good sign language on a prat like kinsey. |

I thought that too when I saw this episode. A black hole is bad enough, but what could the other addresses be? How could they be worse than that? Are we talking the throne room of a Goa'uld? Replicator planet? Or maybe a planet where the atmosphere is poisonous? But you'd think that they'd be smart enough to send a probe through before they did anything else ... although they did say that they were not the natural explorers that we are. Few other comments about this episode. Anyone notice that each time she was on the Volian planet (P3A-194), SC's lipstick was bright red, while when in the SGC it was quite dull? Does the stargate cause a quick change in makeup these days? Also, what was up with everyone in the SGC when SC comes crashing through the gate? She's obviously in pain and they just stand around with their hands in their pockets. Didn't anyone want to check to make sure she was OK? I know that there was a medic assisting her, but none of the team even asked how she was. The best she got was "Good job Major" from O'Neill. It was like when Martouf died in Divide and Conquer. Someone dies, so we all stand around in a circle watching. One thing I really did like was all the looks that SG-1 give Ambassador Faxon when he shows up ready to go through the gate in a suit. And then O'Neill keeps going on about his shoes. Most amusing. I did wonder though, SC has met Joe Faxon once and says yes to a date a few hours after they meet? Isn't she supposed to be repressing feelings for a certain Colonel? Seemed like a damn quick response to me. Oh well. Guess they just did it so they could kill off another potential suitor, which is obviously why O'Neill didn't even react when he asked her out ... i'd like to think the ashen are dead, so i don't really want them to come back. the only good it could do is if someone could pick up a little of their technology while they were fighting. those guys are annoying. how come the sgc meet a (truly) friendly advanced race? that would be different. i don't mean the asgard, since they're hardly ever around. i mean someone that they can actually trade technology and medicine w/ (the tokra should die) just a thought.
