This would be my second favorite episode, next to window of oppurtunity, mainly because Jack and sam have to admit their feelings for each other.

Dammit, I keep thinking Martouf is dead because he was in "Summit" which was just played on FOX a couple of weeks ago. I keep thinking that the FOX episode is a contionuation of the four episodes that are on Sci-Fi.

Well the symbiote Lantash is shown in Summit as being held in animation, but when the Tok'ra base is attacked, the tank breaks and Lantash goes into the body of Lieutenant Elliot who was injured. So it's Lantash that is in Summit, not Martouf. He had definitely died at the hands of Carter at the end of Divide and Conquer - two shots from a Zat. Another one of Carter's love interests that either dies or she ends up killing. That HAS to be tough on her mentally!
Yeah, the Fox stuff is confusing. They're currently approaching the end of season 5. I wonder what they do at that point? Go into season 6, put something else on entirely. or start from the beginning again? Anyone know? |

Even a few days with Sam is better than a life without her. For a guy to be with Sam would be too good to be true for him, so fate plays its hand and kills him so its not true.

It only works on people who have a clue, which is surprising that it would've worked on Jack...I mean, poor Sam had to practically drag it out of him... |

it was a great way to mastermind the storyline.
Neither of them could have hid the fact that they... loved each other Plus, when on a machine that threatens your life if you lie, you tend to be sincere... And they both admitted it at the same time. relatively... |

Question - Jack & Sam agreed that what was said when they were tested would go no further, fair enough, but what would they have said to Hammond when he asked how they came to find out they weren't Za'tarcs? (sp) I assume they would've all sat down and had a briefing about the entire event - how would Jack & Sam have explained the differences in the test results? Would they have told Hammond they'd admitted their feelings for each other? And would they have told Daniel?

I think Daniel and Hammond already kind of know that. They didn't accually do anything together so I don't think he could have got them in trouble anyway. Not that he would even if they did.

I don't think they would've had a formal briefing on something like that. Jack and Sam knew for obvious reasons..Frasier and Teal'c knew because they were witnesses. Daniel wasn't in the room, but I think he had a pretty good idea... Hammond I'm sure would've been curious, but it's possible there could've been a small "conspiracy of silence" among those who saw it...After all Anise liked Jack as well, so she might've gone along with leaving the cuase of what happened "in the room"...She, Frasier and O'Neill couldve filed a report simply saying the test results the first time had been...incorrect... that's just my theory. |

Maybe it?s not normal procedure to search the stuff that an airman takes with him on a mission or brings back from a mission.
Example: in 501, Jack had a little bouncing ball and he and Daniel played with it while Jacob and Sam fixed the hyperdrive crystals and shield crystals. Since he could carry a bouncing ball, (by the way, why the f*ck did he do that) than any member can carry anything. |
