This episode did have it's funny parts, but as a whole there were a lot of things that just didn't click. For example, the interrogation of SC and DJ just dindn't have any real menace. It wasn't a particularly bad episode, just not a good one.

Did we ever steal those alien's technology? Well, I guess we wouldn't really need it if they lost to the Goa'uld.

We didn't have the chance. The friends of Martin set the escape pod to self destruct. Then in Wormhole X-treme, the ship arrived and left without us being able to do anything about it. So although we had people all over the escape pod at one point, it's not likely that they would have been able to gather all that much information. It takes SC to do that sort of thing quickly, and she was otherwise occupied ... biggrin.gif

I just saw the episode and realized that Chiroho is right.

The interrogation process was screwy. When they show the symbiote on the screen, none of them twitch, and Daniel raises an eyebrow and says ?That?s? that?s very good,? is that a duck?... did you do that??
Funny, but not realistic.

Also, that really made Danny boy look like Jack?s copycat.

They did. Their planet had been at war with the gou'ald (unless I misremember) and was losing. But thse individuals may not have been aware of what the symbiotes looked like.

Yea your right they were. But remember they left before so its unlikely they ever accually saw a Jaffa.

but they didn't leave before the war actually started did they? i can't remember exactly (haven't watched it in a while) but you would think someone would have seen jaffa or goa'uld before people started leaving.

That dude had amnesia. As I recall, he remembered the Jaffa when Teal?c took off his little hat and showed him his gold tattoo thing.
As for those other folks, maybe the Jaffa threw such a hard blow that they didn?t have time to analyze them.

But you?re right, it is rather weird.

Good point. Also, the Jaffa are ground troops and fighter (Death Glider) pilots. The ground war probably had not started when they left and any downed gliders probably did not have enough left of the pilot to be able to tell where the Jaffa ended and the symbiote began. Uck! Now, that really brought a disgusting picture to mind! crying.gif

actually i think it is quite realistic i mean in a real situation a investigator showed yo something that kind catches you red handed your not exactly going to percifically make movements to show it has got your attention- big give away!

Daniel said in "watergate" when he pulled a joke about the swiss submarine " i spent way to much time around jack!" or summit like that! i think it is natural for summit to run off on to other people and i think it also shows that daniel isn't a geeky little archeologist anymore he's got a bit of bite with that tong of his!!!!!! ph34r.gif

I don't think Daniel was ever a geeky little scientist. Even in the movie, he was showing a lot of quick thought and cool headed action.

Except where Sharae was concerned... tongue.gif
