Ten years into the future, Samantha Carter and Doctor Fraiser have discovered a dark secret that threatens the entire human race. The former members of SG-1 must again team up in order to send a message into the past, hopefully to prevent this terrible disaster.

This has to be the best episode, l think the writers did a great job and amanda tapping was at her best in the episode, does anybody know if sam's future husband will be making any more appearences??? l know he was in 2001

wasnt this episodeso cool i really liked this episode and i dont think joe died in 2001 i think hes just a prisoner of the aschen and u know your goin to c them again

This epsoide was a very interesting way to interduce an ailien race!!
I thought the way that they were using was very wrong....

this episode got me thinking of will sg-1 be like this in the future god i hope not.i hate the fact that there was a really big rift between sam and jack

Did the events in 2010 really change the timeline for future earth?

Previous episodes have shown us both parallel dimensions and time paradox. 2010 displays one of the most prominent time paradoxes. The grandmother paradox: what would happen if you traveled back in time and killed your grandmother, in essence not allowing you to be born.

There are 2 running theories:
a) you would not be able to kill your grandmother
in lieu with parallel dimension theories, the death of your grandmother would simply propegate new varied parallel dimensions and in essence your timeline would remain unaltered, as those events had never occured.

The events of the episode are very similar to this paradox, and since (a) is not possible as SG-1 did alter the past, with no possibility of pro paradox as seen in 2001, SG-1 again did not ally themselves with the Aschen. The final conclusion must be (, that the events of 2010 propegated our timeline, but was all for nothing in the given future set of the episode, SG-1 changed nothing in their set timeline.

i think its changed it a liitle bit because its stopped the aschen from decreasing the human population and now you know that sg-1 wont form an alliance with the aschen.

No, think about it... if you can't change any major event from the past. I.E. any event from the past creates a new alteration from the timeline (not your timeline, a new timeline). Then anything you do to try and alter the past, will not alter your past, but simply create new alternate futures.

Hence the paradox Remember how Sam knew how to use all of the Aschen technology? She is so smart

yeah she is smart. the aschen stopped her from having kids and joe knew about it and for that im going to kick their asses if they wanted someone to vaccinate they should of come to me i dont want kids.

by the way i know this is nothing to do with stargate but has anyone heard david sneddon stop living a lie and if u have what did u think of it i love it.

do you think that if sam werent married to joe that she'd be with jack? cause there was no need for the sgc it was closed down and used as a tourist attraction so that made them retired.

yeah but because sam went against him and agreed with every1 else on the alliance with the aschen and jack obviously felt betrayed and like he couldnt trust his team and he made it clear that he wasnt willing to forgive sam so easily.

Yes! Jack felt betrayed, and when he figure that she and Joe were together, the things get worst! I think he just want to have the things back, the way the were, but he felt like he was wrong about everthing,ncluding about Sam...

i must admit they way jacks house looks in shades of grey is very nice and i wreckon IF im only saying IF they ever get together then jacks house would be a cosy little home.
