Got a question in this ep...
they dial the blackhole planet; they release the gate and it flews to the sun cos of the suns gravety. Ok till that. If you see closely (I saw it again in disclosure) you'll notice on the bottom the stargate are little explosions, you can even hear them... what are they? I cant find a logical reason... grtz |

I LOVE the way this episode ends. Apophis and his huge mothership and SG1 and their puny monthership stuck far off in another galaxy. Definately one of my favorites. Time to watch the 2nd half :-)...

this was a really cool episode for christopher judge cause i wreckon he dont get half as much exposure as all the other main characters which is a shame cause hes such a brilliant actor but at least they save amazing episodes like this for him to express himself in.

What is up with Teal'c in this episode? I know that he's pissed at letting the killer of his friend elude punishment twice before, however how come he just flew into that exploding fireball like that risking the life of Jack along with his? I felt that was way out of character for Teal'c.
However, the episode was a very nice one. Exploding a star... the writers are really getting ambitous aren't they? One member was asking here about the explosives at the botton of the stargate. I don't remember that they explained them, however I believe that they were rockets installed to give the stargate a boost out the airlock compartment. Without those rockets the stargate might not leave the ship at all. I'm just guessing here |

Very good Aceuss, I agree with you about the rockets on the bottom of the Stargate.
However, I have a question. For me, personally, I feel that this episode (along with Enemies) set Stargate's standard for exceptional special effects. Someone posted previously that this episode doesn't hold a candle to the Season Finale, of Season Six. Since I am yet to see season six could someone tell me how the special effects (and story for that matter) of this episode compare with Full Circle? |

There is a lot of goa'uld ship action in 622. Very good effects with weapons, hyperspace windows and sheilds. |

I also liked this episode. I also enjoy the fact that Sam blew up a star, killed thousands of jaffa, and practically destroyed that solar system. She's a mass murderer.

Those "explosions" on the bottom of the stargate were thrusters mounted so that Carter could have the gate leave the cargo bay and then use them to correct trajectory on its flight path to the sun. At one point they will become useless as the suns gravity should suck it in nicely. I never saw this before until last night. I'm slowly making my way through the entire show. I found a friend with all the eps on CD. This show is so good. Good: acting, special effects, story line, sci-fi. Just excellent all around. Cheers CMF |

Exodus is one of my favourite finales, loved Apophis' huge mothership, what a crazy plan Sam game up with to wipe out hundreds of Hat'ak's, also why are we always saving the Tok'ra arses?

I've got a question:
The tok'ra locked tanith up in a cell, they say he can't kill the host. But didn't teal'c said in eps 1x02 the enemy within that once a goa'uld is one with host it is capable of killing him (they sedated the symbiote before the operation) so little mistake here or am I remembering wrong? |

Good question, I don't know.
I, however, do want to know what happened to Apophis' full face plate that he had in "The Devil You Know", did he recover more or something? I personally feel that he looked cooler with the full face plate, now he just looks like Seven Of Nine from Voyager. |

He looks better without an eyebrow anyway. He probably has been trying to fix it every since he got back into power. |

The sarcophagus no doubt healed it significantly and that was why he lost the full face plate. I would guess that while on Netu, he probably didn't have access to a sarcophagus so he had to live with his appearance. We also know that the sarcophagus sometimes can't fully heal injuries - it may simply heal some things slower (like scarring). When he came back into power though, if he knew the sarcophagus couldn't fully heal his face or that it would take a significant amount of time then he should have just taken a new host. After all the Goa'uld want hosts that look good and are in perfect health and you're going to have some explaining to do to explain why a 'God' has scars on their face. |
