Okay, no I'm not. Dion Johnstone played Warrick in the episode "Forsaken", yes. But the role was played by Alex Zahara in "Space Race" The information in the credits link on this site, which is presumedly the one you were referring to, is inaccurate. If you go here you will see Zahara's IMDB page where it credits him with the role. However, if you go here you will see Dion Johnstone being credited with the same role from the same episode. Since the odds that they both played the same role in the same episode is fairly unlikely, one can assume that one of the credits is wrong. I would think that the deciding factor would be that Dion Johnstone's name does not appear at the begining of the episode, but Alex Zahara's does: ![]() One role, two actors. Not trying to be an <delete explicative>, but I tend to research these kind of things fairly thouroughly. On another note, How did Scott MacDonald (Jarlath) manage to get a higher credit than the either Zahara or Currie? He must have a really good agent. |

Well i have finally downloaded "Space Race" and wow, this was such a great episode, the space ships were cool, special effects were great, i might have to go back and watch "Forsaken", i didn't think that episode would be worth watching.

Something else, IMDB says Epiosde 7.7 when that should be 7.8
Anyway, it's been said, but I agree, I am so happy for Sam! She is finally shedding her scientist image a bit and becoming a little funny like amanda tapping wanted, as she said in the lowdown. I hope they deveop her more and more as having a normal, un-boring, exciting liife beyond her work at the sgc. Cuz, I think she was awesome as herself in the lowdown, and this was probably one of her best episodes yet. Amanda Tapping is so HOT! wow!! |

David Hyde Pierce is the actor that Played Niles on Frasier. The guy that played Eamon is Patrick Currie. Coincidently he also played the Unas "Chaka" in the episode "Enemy Mine". Kinda neet that this guy gets to play a couple different roles in the same show. |

Good episode, Carter is more agressive. I like that. The only thing I dislike is not to see enough O'Neill and Daniel. But the beginning with all the team is funny.
Carter (about the translation): it's mine SIr. or, O'Neill: She did ! Carter: I did ! Teal'C: I don't want to disappoint Major Carter. O'Neill: Yeah, I now that feeling !! Teal'C: I am in debt with you, Major Carter: Indeed (please forgive me all the mistakes I have done, Thanks!) |

The girl had a sparkle in her eyes that just can't be faked. I don't know if it was Sam so much as AT having a good time. But it was infectious. Adrenaline junkie Carter...indeed. And the news commentators seemed spoofy but on the mark. Yes, they got a bit annoying but aren't they always? The race itself didn't seem to be very suspenseful or a no-rules free for all. Rather sedate actually. And the corporate moron wasn't very clever. But Jarlath was good with his "weapons is an art" thing. I half expected him to partner with Warrick in a business venture at the end. A good ep not only because it was funny but also because the cast seemed to be having fun. |

I totaly was shifting through the credits to see if it was David Hyde Pierce too!! There was a series of Dialogue after the badguy was caught and he was telling his brother to "win if he could" that all but had me convinced it was him... I thought it was just me but I am glad it wasn't!! |

hehe, my take on the episode... very fun, I was actually looking forward to this episode. Not as good as I imagined but nevertheless a good sg1 episode. Orpheus is still better serious-wise this season, and Fragile Balance is still better comedy wise. There are a few gripes with it too.
Notes: - Continuation from 'Forsaken' in Season 6 - A funny episode, sarcasm, jokes, etc nearly all the way through - Sam being so eager on something. We actually havent really see this side of her - 'Kick butt'? - I actually throught Warrick is some kind of officer or high ranking post in the government in Forsaken. Looks like transporting prisoners is just a job. - How did Warrick get to Earth? Stargate? did they have one, or did Warrick fly to Earth. Did he know where to find us? I suppose after Forsaken they would have swapped info on each other and probably some contact. - News/update reporters??? So Earth, and so lack of imagination - but I suppose this isnt about imagination, its about being funny. - Race being dangerous? No kidding! I knew (as well as Sam) that space race is dangerous by itself. Definitely not prepared for the shooting drones and passing near the sun. The ice obstacles, even though dangerous, was expected as you always have obstacles in races that you must avoid (testing of pilot skills). - I was a bit dissapointed there wasnt any race fail safe for people getting pulled in by the sun... I mean the drones stopped shooting when the ships were disabled so why couldnt they have someone pull them out? - Looks like a very large monopolising company - is this what Microsoft will become? - I always said the Ion drive could replaced N'aquida drives and that each race could have their own space travelling drive equivalent. Not everyone uses hyperdrives including the Asgard! They even have things that can easily match the power of the n'aquida reactor! - Admittely I was suspicious of the race really trying to overtake the humans cause we seen one before - the Ashens did the same thing - share technology and slowly kill them off. The SG1 now have an ion drive technology although Sam Carter did say they couldnt produce some of the parts. Toobad they didnt win the race... Whenever I saw the announcers and the product endorsements, I kept thinking about how that part was almost ripped off from RoboCop.
Always good to see Carter smiling and flashing those big pearly whites. |

I enjoyed this since I'm a race fan. Especially at the end, when Carter is talking about the cheating. Winners often get accused of cheating in racing.

I just watched the deleted scene on the SciFi website. Teal'c was telling Jack that Warrick and Carter were having trouble. Jack's concern for Carter was a super subtle shippy moment but a moment just the same.

Good episode, nice shippiness, decent storyline. One problem. It's becoming more and more apparent the abscence of RDA. Not only is his abscence felt, but the brashness and charisma of the whole team seems to be dissappearing. I will continue to watch Stargate of course. It's just that although it is great to see these individual episodes about Carter, Daniel, and Teal'c. It needs to reminded that this is Stargate SG-1 not Stargate SG-1/2 or 3/4. But to all fairness, RDA does need to spend more time with his kids.

The commentary was most annoying. I rewatched it and FFWD through all the commentary sets after the first one. They really didn't add much to the story. The only thing I can figure is that someone (director, writer, producer) is a big sports nut and finds that stuff really funny. I never understood the concept of watching sports on television, so I guess I just don't get it.
The deleted scene? Don't you just love how this concept has pervaded the entire entertainment experience? On a plot-hole note (maybe), the deleted scene should have been left in because it may have set up how O'Neill and Jackson knew Teal'c and Eamon were at TechCon in the first place. It puzzled me when the O'Neill said "Teal'c? Still at TechCon?" on the radio when there hadn't been any indication that O'Neill or Jackson knew what was going on outside of what Carter told them ("we ran into a little trouble"). Then they just show up there and meet with "old friend" Hagan, who had only previously appeared as an announcer for the race data on the monitor. I also imagine there are more deleted scenes from the soiree that introduced Hagan. All that story development scrapped for the announcers...bleh. But I still liked the whole Carter-gets-to-have-fun episode...I'm easy to please. |

you just have to post more. i looked at your profile thingy, you have only posted 15 times, when you reach a certain number your rank will increase, as simple as that... i thought this was a very amusing ep. it made me laugh and it made me dislike some alien human things...er, any way. it threw me for a second in the begining when carter shows up in a leather jacket and carrying a bike helmet. then i remembered that in that ep where daniel goes back for his teacher's funeral, that whole osiris mess, sam is working on a motorcycle as her fun time. hehe cool. biker chick sam. i also liked oniell's one liners i have missed them and i loved the murray thing. yay!! Yep. If they know Teal'c is not using his real name, they don't even have to guess anymore.

Another boring ep in my opinion. Well for me at least. Carter should tie her hair back.
Commentators were boring. Plot boring. |

It could have been better. I did, however, like the part where they rescued the other pilot. The other pilot did not want to board, and Warrick was quite happy to close the hatch and go on. Carter snatched the hatch door from Warrick and ordered the other pilot up...and he came! Loved that part.

Well... they certainly had fun making this ep, dontcha think?
I reckon it started off as a good idea but then they got carried away. And then they realised that it was up to them anyway, so 'why not have one ep where we can just play? Come on, it'll be fun.' My eyebrow seemed to be permenantly raised throughout that ep, and tongue lodged firmly in cheeck. As long as they had fun, fair enough. But back to work next week lads though, if you don't mind. <EDIT> PS: They're finally, FINALLY giving Sam a sence of humour and, no offence, a personality!... 'bout time, folks! Same doesn't have a sense of humor. She's wierd if you ask me. Always playing with her gadgets like a nerd. I think she should just have a one night stand with Teal'C. Once you go black, you never go back. |
