Ah but we can see what happens on the 15th of December! because we are going to watch Evolution part 1 in 3 days, and the second part without any break in schedule a week later. But we start up again on Jan 6th with the next episode before the "Heores" two parter is shown.

Hooray! at last, the first episode of this season that I have throughly enjoyed. What a cliff-hanger. Danny trapped in the jungle and SG1 having caught a kick-ass soldier, even Jack is back on form. Luckily we only have to wait until next week to find out!
It seems that even these genetically engineered soldiers have their weak-spots-a finite life span (bit like Dolly the sheep!). So does this mean that if the soldiers come up against heavy resistence they will "wear out" faster?" or is it a case of engineered to last for "x" number of days/hours regardless of how much energy they expend? The ultimate disposable "toy" |

Hmmm, actually for a cliff-hanger I didn't think it was that great even if it only a mid-season one. There were some promising things in the episode, like the idea of the super-soldier and the sarcophagus technology, but I just felt that they didn't really use these to their full potential and the story didn't really go anywhere very productive I know I haven't seen the second part yet and from the spoilers it looks as though it might make up for this, but I thought the main plot elements in this episode had a lot of wasted potential, even for the first part. |

Someone explain it to me!
assuming you can do it without giving anything away past this episode The SS armor is interesting, but I am having trouble with it. It is apparently a material similar to kevlar, which is easilly permiated by the kind of weapons that were brought. The armor would have to be very thick to block projectile weapons, and it would still get scuffed up by them (also extreamly heavy, but it is a goa'uld). correct me if i am wrong, but it didn't say anything about a shield like the one created by a hand device. I may be nitpicking, but I hope there is a reasonable explanation. |

The armour was able to absorb all energy based weapons and reflect all projectile weapons too, the only thing it couldn't protect against was the Trinium based needles they createdfrom the ore they found in the season 2 episode "Spirits" where they met Indians (like cowboys and Indians, not Indians from India) and their spirits (aliens) that had created may objects and weapons using pure Trinium, this was before they sealed up the gate however. At last we are back to episodes that of a high standard. I loved this ep. Man, was that super soldier freaky. This ep seemed a hell of a lot darker than the rest of season 7 up to now.
Surely now the SGC has a good advantage over the Goa'uld. They have two sets of armour from the super soldiers (the one that died and the one that they captured). If the rest of the eps are up to this standard i cant wait and if it continues into season 8, its going to be one hell of a final season. I cant believe that we are half way through season 7 already. Isnt this where the UK gets ahead of the US in eps? I hope that some kind soul is going to upload the eps for the US fans, like they did for us. |

Well this was definately an improvement from last week and i loved it. The whole SS was great kicking ass when they tried to capture it. O'Neill with the M60
I preferred the Daniel storyline more though as its more fun with him being caught and all. I loved this bit: Guide: I'm not going to steal from u senior. (Looks around, smile fades EDIT: Dr Lee was great in my opinion but he looked familar, have we seen him before? This post has been edited by Jon The UK SG-1 Fan: Dec 9th 2003, 8:33 AM |

Ah bout time the story lines picked up! The super soilder rocked i though! they sould experment with his weapons cuz he has 2 one on each arm and they hell of a lot faster than staff weapons and just as if not more effective!, I could imaging teal'c wearing on and blow a how leagion of jaffa away on his own
But i think the super soilder they got at the SGC is gonna escape in next weeks end! cuz the bonds on his arm looked 2 be flexing a bit and they keeped showing in trying 2 break them! Oh yer 1 more thing the super soilders without the armer r some ugly mother f***ers |

Yeah I think that the SGC should use the SS's armoured suit in combat missions, and eventually hopefully the Tokra (after some experimentations) can reproduce and make more of the shields for use in battles. Plus for the moment they should use the upgraded staff energy weapons imbuilt into the suit to do some serious damage as well because they seem stronger than normal staff blasts (epecially if a smaller area of contact in the new ones can do more damage than the original sized area of contact then that proves it).

these "kull warriors" (as named on the credits) of the episode look great, the rapid fire staff weapons were way cool,i hope the "kull warriors" feature in future episodes and are not killed of by flu or something.

nice comparison.
I was surprised that we didn't take more precautions against it carrring a self destruct or a poison capsule, the tech is too good to fall into enemy hands, especially if they expect them to drop dead after a couple of hours. I hope something good somes out of it. |

We might have to fight it with lightsabers if that is the case, but i think he would b invincible against them since his suit absorbs energy

I think i saw him the first ep that involved Cadet Hailey. I think it was 'Prodigy'. Im sure he was one of the scientists in that ep. BTW did anyone notice that the planet that the super soldier originated from was called 'Tartarus'. Thats the name the Ancient Greeks gave to their version of Hell wasnt it? |

Damn that's a good nickname. *Minor Spoiler* Also I think SG1 and Bra'tac actually go to Tartarus in the second part while Jack goes of to save Daniel and Dr Lee. This post has been edited by eliminator: Dec 12th 2003, 2:59 AM |
