First of all great epsoide.
But nobody is talking about what this all means to the show in the future. For Hammon - Sounds like he getting a promotion, maybe he will be in charge of the new department they are making (he will be in charge of all off-world stuff sgc - the ships) For SGC - Hammon's out, I think Weir is going to Atlantis so a new commander And The big question is? - How they going to hide that invation from the world - that battle looked huge - They will have to tell the world about the Stargate and after that they can do some really fun things. Just some thoughts -Big Wurm- |

Ok, Ok. The episode was one of the best we have seen for a long time. Why, Maybe because there was a lot of RDA and the actors in all good proportions.
Yes, good CGI and very good acting played by all especially by Br'tac, would u look at his face when he saw Dr Weir, he looked so dissapointed. Yay! and I get to see him in person this Saturday. Anyway, I think in the whole of things the episode shown great changes for 2 major doorways in the Stargare Universe. 1st being the change to lead up into SG:Atlantis and the all anticipated Season 8. But lets not forget that after next weeks episode its back to boring Tuesday nights until end of the year. Ok, lets all wait for next weeks episode. I bet that also will end in "TO BE CONTINUED ...." |

Okay, I liked the eppy.
Liked the Sam/Jack moments. Of course, Especially when she laughs as she's explaining how her car drove her to his house. Also, liked that Daniel is drunk, just because it was hilarious. Now, did anybody notice the picture on the mantle? When Carter makes reference to it, it is a picture of Jack, his wife, and Charlie, but then later when Hammond comes, as Jack is getting the beer they do a half closeup shot of it, and it's actually SG-1. Interesting yes? Apparently, someone from the crew must have changed the photo. Just a little thing I noticed. Overall, I'd say it was a good set up to get into part 2, and I can't wait. BTW, I'm sad to see that Jessica Steen isn't going to be playing Weir for Atlantis. |

As yesterday was my 4th day with a temperature of around 102 I may have seen somethings you may not such as those nasty pink elephants that keep popping up everynow and again (there was one chassing sg-1 away from the statue thing) But I did enjoy the whole ep very much but didn't notice the picture switch so will have to go back and watch it for a 2nd time. I am trying to use my flu to get my dad to get a copy of the next ep from his friends at sky but as he wont see them till sunday it's really not worth it (all that effort for nothing

I got the impression that Bra'tac may've been a little sexist towards Dr. Wier. It might not be common for females to be such important leaders where he lives.
Thats the feeling I got when Bra'tac looked at the doctor for the first time. He was kinda "wtf a woman?". |

Well.....*Gets down on knees and starts to believe the lord exists as he has answered my prayers*
Thank you god for bringing the old Stargate and Rda/Jack back, i was about to send out a search party for both of them, and thankyou for bringing a fantastic allround storyline to us after a little...er...baron patch. Favourite parts of the episode: I loved the bit at the beginning, where Jack washes his phone, both my dad and myself had a little chuckle at that one!. I also liked the bit, where Daniel is helping jack with the crossword, and Daniel goes "Strange" and Jack puts the phone down and you can hear Daniel saying "..no, thats the answer!" ahhh, yes, you can not forget the "Fat" thing in the crosswrod bit and the fact that the Col. was half an hour late because he was trying to finish it LMAO! I actually, although i didn't want to because of my loyalty to Hammond, really grew to like Dr Wier. You get to see alittle about her when, trying to catch a cab, she spoke another language with the gentlemen- it was subtle enough but also let you in on that she was a intelligent women. I thought, contridicting was someone else said, that Amanda/Sam looked really good in this episode and the the on running car joke that Daniel continued on with, and Jack nudging Sam, was hilarious! Not so favourite parts of the show .....as the show is pretty damm good in my eyes, for the most part, i will have to do abit of "nit picking, if you will, about the episode to find something wrong with it. About that "Defcon" thing, or what it is, the lower the number-the bigger emergancy right? So why are they on 3? Would that. most likely, with an alien on the grounds be the thing to do? Jack's Humour..some of this was good but I did feel that it was flat, at times, and slightly crammed in there, as has been said, to make up for lack there of over past few episodes. However do not make out, or anything like it, that i think it was a bad performance, on the contrary, i thought it was the best of jack that you will get this season. Over all : This episode will be one of my favourites no matter what "type " of episode it is, one -off, teaser, 1st parter, Arc'er, it was a bloody good episode all around. And gets the thumbs up from me! |

OMG I loved it!
Best episode in a long time. Up there with the likes of The Fifth Race, one of my favourite episodes. Waiting for Part 2 is going to make me go crazy in da coconut! Kinsey is such an ass... I hope he gets whats coming to him next week. Perhaps transported up to Anubis's ship where he can try and "negotiate" with him. Anubis can put him in his place with one of those torture sticks or something. I would seriously be sad if they kill off Kinsey though, I HATE that character, so he is the perfect villain! LOL - ya think? You don't find the fact that Sam is apparently in the habit of phoning Jack in the middle of the night if she can't sleep just...slightly shippy? I actually liked the scene between them in the cabin - it could be taken either way. Sure there were no great unspoken declarations of affection as promised in the spoilers, but there was a nice subtle undertone for the shippers if you looked hard.
ROTFL, Corporal McKee - I noticed that one too. The look on his face was priceless. Well, I'm still on a high over this one - haven't come down from cloud nine yet. But I guess if I had one teensy little nitpick it would have to be that I wish we didn't get a mediocre run of episodes and then something pulling out all the stops at the end. I know that some of you like big flashy SFX and battles - which is cool if that's what you like about the show - but for myself I couldn't care less about those elements. What I want is good character interaction, team dynamics and humour and I could wish, if I was being really picky, that the season was more balanced in those aspects, rather than leaving me like a guy dying of famine in a desert for weeks and then cramming a feast into the last two episodes. Still...having said that, they are soooooooooooooo forgiven after last night. <G> Albion This post has been edited by Albion: Mar 3rd 2004, 8:53 AM |

i thought this was an absolutely brilll episode!!!
i loved everyting about it especialy the fire fight scene at the start with the ships etc. i loved the way that carter said she was out driving and suddenly found herself at o'neill's house, i thought it was very sweet, then too top it off daniel said exactly the same thing!! this ep also made me even more angry towards kinsey, i hate him even more now. the Dr seems quite nice, but she'll never ever ever be able to replace hammond, he'll always be the best for the job, i like the way she stood up to kinsey wahay!! overall 10/10 hope the asgard can help jack |

This episode wasn't as exciting as I expected.
My favorite scene: SG-1 (Carter, Daniel, and Teal'c) waiting for Jack at the elevator, and the answer of the atomic weight question - fat. |

Did anyone notice what Weir said after O'Neill spoke in Ancient and Daniel pointed it out. After treating Kinsey like the ass(clown) he is, she said "yeah, I got that" when Daniel explained what it was that Jack had said. Is it possible that she understands Ancient in part, and may be able to help with the translation?
No, it's actually the other way around. In the event of an emergency the Defcon rises, as it did in Serpents Venom. But, in this episode I noticed that the Defcon "board" which has the numbers on it went up to 5, I thought that it only went up to 3.
Suprnova is back up now. |

It was too slow for me. Good set up, but it wasted an episode.
The two good bits were the crossword and the gathering- "I was diving, in my car, and..." "I did it again" Saw the mini-clip. Cant wait for next week. We finally see Promethious in action (Grace excluded for being dull). |

Stargate at it's best that's the only way to describe this episode as!!
It had everyting i have ever wanted ( except for part 2), i was thinking it may not live up to the spoilers expectations but for me it went beyond these!! The Character development was crucial and finally SG1 were a team not a couple of people randomly walking around an alien planet!! Now i have loved series 7, but this just made it my second fave series ( 4 being the 1st)!!! |

http://213.158.119.9/suprnova//list_news.html - Thats the Suprnova site. Apparently they had some porblem and they got that. Well whatever...
Anyway, I was shivering with excitement all throughout the episode. U had to love the way they started the episode and ended it. I must say this "Stargate SG1 is like a bottle of wine. It only keeps getting better with age". By far, this episode was an absolutely brilliant cliffhanger that I have ever seen. I mean, RDA was back, Amendola was back after his absence. His question of whether Hammond had fallen in battle made me LMAO. And Judge got quite some lines in and his last line of "It is u who know something I dont" that made me LMAO again. The beer scene was quite hillarious too. Shanks was not gonna get anymore beer - ROFLMAO. To be serious, I hate the government. I hate it in SG1 and I hate it in real life too. So many secret agendas that the truth becomes relative. Sure Cox is a great actor that potrays it so well but we all love to hate him (as someone said before in this thread) And the scene with the Prometheus and the dog fight scene was amazing. Dont know if ppl noticed but the X302's were all over the place chasing the Alkesh's and death gliders. WOHOO. Bring on 7x22 next week. Gotta give it a 9/10. (I'm reserving the 10 for 7x22) |

Well it was a high quality episode, as i expected it to be. Obviously the best parts of this 2 parter will come next week, it was written as one long film and generally in films or scripts the most action and best parts from it comes in the second half of it, i will give it 9/10, it was a high quality ep but amazing isnt the right word to describe it, it was a very good episode but amazings thbe wrong word.
And also i just saw a full length advert on sky one and it makes it look a lot better then that short clip did after part one, it showed more and made it look really good. Roll on next week... |

Great Ep. Need to watch it again at home. Sitting here at work just doesn't cut it. I can' t laugh out loud and I didn't hear everything. So I'll watch it again.
Something has been bugging me about Kinsey. He is acting quite Gao'uldish in these last two eps. He keeps saying things like , "You don't want to cross me" and shit like that. it reminds me of the ep were they tunneled to the center of the planet and that chick was a snake head and sam couldn't feal her. I think that Kinsey is like that. Or maybe he is something else. But he is a real DickHead!!! I hate him. I wish Master Braeta'c would have Zat him in the office. Sorry for the rant. One good saying from this ep from Jack "Guiness, its a great replacement for food." Chew |

Why would you want Master Bratac to zat him? It wouldn't be painful enough. I think he should get a staff blast in the tummy and one in the neck- blow his frikken head off! Yay! No more Kinsey... *Chuckles with glee- notices everyone looking strangely at her and laughs uncomfortably* If only it could happen. I think the writers wanna keep this Earth based villain a little bit longer- just to make us (along with Jack O'Neill) madder and madder at him. He's an exceptional actor though- hats off to him- even my family- who didn't know who he was, were swearing at him under their breath as they watched the episode. ps- Thankyou Varun for the link.
