Just in case any C4 viewers are interested, the series is scheduled to continue on 12/12/04 at 4:10pm (UK time) with a double episode. Whether that's a re-run of Evolution 1 followed by Evolution 2 or Evolution 2 followed by Grace, I'm not sure. But either way, it should be good!!

Finally seen it! Yay!! Great ep!
I'm glad I read through the other posts for this ep because it cleard a few things up for me. I think there were maybe some scenes cut for the 'Sunday teatime' channel 4 version, which left me very confused in places! It was definately nice to have more Jack. I felt really sorry for Burke. Poor guy! Trying to help out a former-comrade's family and ending up with a crap posting because of it! Right from when Jacob said he thought there were at least a handful of super soldiers I just knew we were going to get a shot looking down onto a massed army of them - guess I watch too much sci-fi! The SS are a formidable enemy, IMO. Like the replicators before them, they are menacing because they are (at least at the moment) indestructible. I was honestly really scared when that stray one got on the ship - if they hadn't have been able to ring it out (funny!) they'd have been totally screwed! I don't think the fact that they only survive a short time detracts from the terror that much. If you're face to face with one then 'hang on in there, it'll be dead in a couple of weeks' isn't really going to help! Nice scenes with Jack and Sam. I'm with Dorien on the shippyness (good explanation, BTW) - just enough to keep the shippers hopeful but not too in your face for the anti-shippers. Oh yes - sorry for the long post. And for double posting - although the previous one was like a fornight ago! This post has been edited by Dr Sam: Dec 16th 2004, 8:27 AM |

Good action sequences. And take that Anubis! A small blow but it felt so good. Too bad the army of supersoldiers put a damper on things!

I just caught this episode in re-run and you know, I forgot how much fun this was.
Mostly, I had no idea that was Enrico Collatoni (I hope I spelled his name right) playing Agent Burke !!!! Gosh, I didn't recognize him the first time I saw this. I only just noticed. Didn't you folks recognise Elliot from "Just Shoot Me" or the alien he played in Galaxy Quest !! And he was great ! I loved his one liner about the Evil Dead to Jack at the end after he blew up the zombie. What happened to Burke ? now, there's a character I would have liked to have seen turn up again in another episode. Did he get the cushy job in a temperate zone like Jack promised ?? And one of my favorite Teal'c lines... Bra'tac "Are you hurt ?" reply, "Yes, in my pride !"... loved his reaction. But, you've got to figure that Master Bra'tac would know what to do. fun ep. |

Hey CitizenK, I like that character also. On the DVD extras I think there was talk about bring him back somehow in the future. They liked the interaction between the characters and the acters playing them. I hope they do!

Loved this episode. Great action scenes. So the device re-animates corpses. Forget about the super soldiers, an army of zombies can be formidable as well.
