Initially, I wondered about this one too. I figure though that since it didn't work too well in The Curse they'd be smart this time around and triple the dose! Albion |

I liked the episode overall, I give it a 9 / 10.
Sam looked pretty sexy and showed off alot of skin in this episode. Sara also looked very sexy and provocative. I felt sorry for Jack cause everybody has someone but Jack seems alone. Maybe Jack will go back to Laira but who knows. The elevator scene was very funny, I enjoyed that. I don't know why people would dislike this episode. It continued the storyline and also gave us more background of Daniel Jackson. And we now know that Anubus has Asgard transportation technology and that we are able to jam the transport signals of Goa'uld. Both of which will play a big part in future episodes no doubt. The ending was kinda quick in a sense, I was on the edge of my seat expecting Osirus to get away after she blew up the Van(where the Jamming device was). Even after she got shot with the tranquilizer I woulda thought she woulda hit her device and beam outta there. At least Daniel has his girl back, and maybe she'll be working for the SGC since she does have knowledge of the Goa'uld now. So we might be seeing her at the SGC even. I wouldn't mind being as sexy and attractive as she is. A few things I didn't like but didn't hurt the overall rating of the episode. Pete's humor was kinda lame, I didn't like Pete at all. Some of the humor was funny but I felt that Sam was kinda laughing AT him instead of WITH him during some of the jokes. Did I mention that I didn't like Pete? Pete in no way deserves Sam, he is not good enough for her. That's right, Pete is not good enough for Sam. I want Sam to be with Orin or Narim and maybe even Martooth(the tok'ra). Oh the part when they were in the stake out van when Teal'c offered doughnuts to Sam and Jack. When Jack turned him down I thought Teal'c made a sad face with the blinks signaling he was dissapointed that they didn't take a doughnut. I think he was hurt from it, cause he went out and picked out the doughnuts himself it seems. Also speaking of Teal'c, when they were weight lifting, they shoulda used the rubber bar like in "Upgrades". Cause Teal'c was benching over 500 lbs, now I lift weights and I know even with 315 the bar bends a little. They shoulda used the rubber bar so that when he touches his chest the bar bends and flexes. One big thing I couldn't figure out was, HOW the hell did Pete follow them to Daniel's house. Cause Pete followed Carter to the SGC but then how did he know she was in the van and followed it? Cause I don't believe that Sam would go home and change her cloths then drive to the Van. She was in civilian clothign and drove to the base, then got in the airforce outfit and jumped in the van. Also about Sam telling Pete the whole story of the SGC, there is no way in hell that would happen unless Pete is now part of the program. Even tho he saw the laser devices and the glowing eyes, there is no way that they can reveal it to them. Maybe they weren't afraid to because the the Wormhole X-treme TV show. But still, COME ON. Overall I liked the Episode alot, I gave it a 9/10. It continued the Stargate storyline. But I'm still bugged over the issue of how did Pete trace Carter to Daniel's house. JohnY P.S. I hope Pete gets shot and killed in a routine traffic stop, and then Narim or Orlin comes back. Cause I would like to see someone worthy to be with Carter. Plus Pete is a Dumbass. Or maybe Orlin or Narim comes back and Carter would have to decide who to pick! Now that would make an interesting episode with lots of drama!

Hey, Cool episode. I did enjoy the episode, it was very entertaining. Yes, I admit that the stories of season 7 were to wrap up loose ends to end SG1, I dont think that these have been rewritten in light of season 8 but it seems that more loose ends are now coming out of these episodes now. Does that mean season 9 too, or worse, does it mean season 9 without RDA?
I like the little bits about the lost city in season 7, much as like a drum roll towards the LOST CITY episodes and the new ATLANTIS. I'd say, yes. Forget Trek. Stargate is the next biggest franchise. BTW, I am meeting Christopher Judge and Michael Shanks next wednesday in the UK. Anyone for any signatures? hehe Cliff |

I totally agree, It just so looked like they were going to glow and she was going to do an enemy within type thingie. I did feel dissapointed in a way at that too. I mean I'm happy sarah is free now n all but I found it hard to believe at first as it was so sudden. I think really it woulda been nice if it was more fleshed out but I guess they have to fit it into a certain time allotment and hence, they couldnt.
so true! I felt sorry for him :/ But overall I thought this was a good ep, I enjoyed it and I think I will watch it again, unlike the past two episodes. |

you know what? It was so cheesy but i thought this ep rocked! and i think they're were so many in-jokes that you couldn't take it too seriously.
pete is soooo cute in a deluise brother kind of way and when he got hit in the end i was like "Noooooooooooooooo......he can't die!!!!" but yeah....thank god he didn't. Daniel was really cute when he was all tired and sleepy and ARGH....i loved the ep. The elevator scene was good and i loved it when tealc offered the donuts..heh jaffa humour. some good lines S: Colonel J: Major D:..uh...coffee Hammond: Are you saying that osiris is here on earth manipulating Dr Jackon's dreams? S: Yes, it could be a possibility J: Kinky.... J: daniel are you asleep yet? D: yes Jack, I'm fast asleep. Ahahahahah Maybe my expectations of Sg1 eps have dropped but i've enjoyed most of the eps this season inclu. the past 2 grace and fallout. I think no nitpicking was the way to approach this ep, i think one gains more enjoyment out of it then. oh and daniel pumping iron...PHWOAR!!!!!!! wouldya look at those biceps???? I'm still very undecided about this episode so i cant say right now whether i liked it or not as a whole, but i can tell you what i liked/didnt like in the ep.
I liked the scene between Sam and Jack in the lift, very awkward, very funny. When Sam started humming the theme tune i was like.... "is that?.... it isnt.... it cant be.... it is!" Then i couldnt stop giggling. Being the Sam and Jack shipper that i am, i really didnt expect to like Pete, but i did. However, that was when he was 'nice, Jack substitute guy', then he turned into 'obsessed, stalker guy' and from then on i thought he had to go. I still cant understand why Sam wasnt angry at him for doing this, but maybe thats love for ya. Its been said before but i dont think it was right that Sam was allowed to tell Pete about the Stargate and everything. Pete was managable for one ep, but no more. I dont want him to become a recurring character having a part of other storylines. I liked the Daniel/Sarah/Osiris thing, but thought that the ending could have been done a lot better. I dont know if this has been said but.... Osiris had a personal defence shield, so she knew that the weapons they would have wernt likely to penetrate it. So, why didnt she use the Asgard transporter thing to get the hell out of there as soon as she was outside instead of waiting around firing at Sam and and Pete? I am of course assuming that how they blocked her from transporting out in the first place only covered Daniels house, not more of the area. Oh, and another thing about Daniel... when did he get a house? I thought he lived in an appartment. EDIT: And what was that sinister look Sarah gave at the end? Maybe its not all over like we thought. This post has been edited by Emmyloo: Jan 22nd 2004, 9:21 AM |

At the moment, I've still got mixed thoughts over this ep. On some levels I liked it because of the humour and the Daniel/Osiris/Sarah storyline, but I hated the whole Sam/Pete thing. Through watching this episode, I think I've come to realise that maybe I am a bit of a Jack/Sam shipper after all.
I hate Pete! Grr... When Pete went down, I was like "YES!! Woooo...he's dead!" And the bit where Sam told Pete about the Stargate and the SGC and all...hello?? I thought the Stargate was the biggest secret on Earth? It just seems unrealistic that she would be given permission to tell some cop she's been going with for a while, even though he saw quite a bit. But what happened to good old cover stories and forced amnesia?? |

Wow! This was an amazing episode. The funniest since Window of Opportunity, if not funnier. Don't get all nitpicky guys, if it isn't a serious problem, don't stress. Relax and enjoy. This episode was clearly designed for humour, to set Sam up with a boyfriend, and to finally end the Osiris plotline. It managed to combine all of that quite well I'd say.
Things learned: 1) We have a signal jammer that jams Goa'uld signals now. 2) Anubis swiped teleportation technology from Thor 3) The Goa'uld now have a finger ring that fires a particle beam 4) Anubis again shows his fear of openly attacking Earth Questions: If the Protected Planets treaty ended, why is it that the Goa'uld don't openly attack Earth? Well, I believe that the treaty is still effect on the show because the writers deem it so. At the end when Sarah hugged Daniel, she had a look on her face that I interpretted as an Osiris look, and I was waiting for her eyes to glow. They didn't, and I was rather surprised. Oh well, the Tok'ra know there stuff now. They did get to practice symbiote removal on Ska'ra afterall. |

Funnily enough this question occurred to me too as I was walking the dog earlier today. (Yes, I think about this show way too much <G>). And then a possible answer occurred. I would guess the apartment went during the year that Daniel was Ascended - (At this point I always want to type 'when Daniel was dead for a year for tax purposes', but I digress.) I mean who would keep paying the rent for him? (Although I do hope someone put his things in storage!) Anyway, I'd assume that when he came back he'd have to pick up his life from scratch, including getting a new house. Of course, I've missed a few of the episodes at the start of this season and am still waiting to catch up with them (downloading them now - woohooo!!). So I have no idea if this theory is scuppered and shot down in a pile of glowing flames by anything shown in those. Albion This post has been edited by Albion: Jan 22nd 2004, 7:41 PM |

2)I wonder what else Anubis got from Thors mind? 3)We've see this weapon before. Its the same weapon Martouf used to try and assasinate the president. 4)I dont think Anubis is afraid of attacking Earth, but at the moment he's at war with the system lords. He cant really risk going to war with the Asgard at the moment. |

Even though this episode isn't that great, it's one of the best of this season. SG1 actually did something together, other than have a meeting with Hammond. It's also nice to see them tie up a loose end this seasen, saving Sarah. I am assumming, however, that we'll never see or hear of her again making the whole thing kinda pointless.

dude seriously....even with the information that Anubis took from Thor's mind, the asguard are still developing stuff and continually upgrading. Even though Anubis' ships are probably much more powerful than the System Lord's ships, he still has the problem of Asguard intervention with their all powerful fleet of stuff Heck maybe they built the O'Neil agail |

They did build a Fleet of O'neill class ships. As seen at the end of Revelations 522, End of Promethus 611, and Unatural Selection 612. They just stopped building the old class ships and use the ones that are remaining. I wish they would show more of the Asgards, you just gotta love those guys. |

Quick review from me:
This episode focuses on mainly Carter and Daniel. Seems like this season is all about character development with a pinch of story development thrown in. The Carter storyline. Carter's storyline is about her new relationship and herself outside of work. I wasn't quite sure she really did like him at first (although it was totally obvious he was smitten with her), but towards the end she I was convinced she really did like him. Like most tv series, she had to deal with having a huge secret identity when forming a relation outside her work. And like most tv series, it either had to end with them breaking up, or her revealing the secret. I was worried that they put Carter's blackwidow curse to work (did it ever?) and killed him off, but I am glad they didn't. Daniel's storyline focuses more on the main plot of the season (The Lost City of Atlantis) and her previous relationship with Sarah (and Osiris). I am a bit sceptical of Daniel trying to read and translate an ancient language in a dream. I often find it hard to read, much less translate anything in dreams. The Gaould device might have help him focus and thus causing him his sleep deprivation even though he was dreaming. I thing to note was that even though he said that he couldn't work out where the city was, does not mean that he doesn't know. It means he might know, but opted not to tell Osiris the information in cases she escaped. This is actually quite a good episode as it ties up a few loose ends. There was a slight plot development and we are catching up on the character Daniel and Sam (previous season had a more focus of Jack). Unfortunately, because of this, a powerful half-Gaould such as Anubis doesn't seem to be a major threat - there's no urgency this season. This episode also showed that SG1 has changed a lot since Season 1. There are no character deaths, they managed to capture a Gaould (this would seem impossible in previous seasons) AND bring back Sara (they had wanted to do this for a long time, think of all the people they could save!). There is nothing SG1 can't handle, but we all knew that. |

*SEASON 7 (LOST CITY) SPOILER* (highlight to read) I believe Anubis is going to launch an attack on Earth in the final episode of season 7
I noticed this too and have since learned that a few other people did as well... so it doesn't look like we are going crazy. I'm unsure if it was intentional or just the actress being herself and doing it by accident, but it was an Osiris look! Maybe she was just so used to being Osiris that she slipped up. If not then, I guess we can expect to see Sarah again... maybe she was corrupted by Osiris' mind while the symbiote was in her?
Hmmm, the Zatarcs did have a weapon mounted on their fingers, but I can't remember if it fired a red beam or not Here's a capture of the Zatarc weapon: This post has been edited by Aesir: Jan 23rd 2004, 4:08 AM |

Personally, I found this episode pretty boring...I mean, it was great to get some reolutions and all in the Daniel Storyline, but still...
I just really, really, really hate Sam's boyfriend, lol. I really want her to end up with Jack, it's just "one of those things" I want to happen :-( As for Osirus, it was great near the end. I've always loved the character (well, mostly the beautiful actress ;p) and i've been rooting for Daniel to save her ever since "Summit" (which, I might add, he came pretty darn close to doing if it hadn't been for Yu). When Jack came into that room and fired the tranquilizer, I shouted out "YES!" When she just repelled it back at him and struck him down, I yelled "DAMMIT!" and then started laughing because Jack got hit, lol. Woohoo that Sarah is saved, though! |

I know why Pete didn't die. It's a very simple reason.
He is a Deluise. If I remember correct he is David DeLuise. Brother of producer guy Peter Deluise. that was an easy one. I'm suprised no one else brought that up. loved the wistling the tune in the lift. lol Chew |
