From GateWorld:
The Atlantis expedition manages to make contact with Earth long enough to send a message. This takes place shortly before "The Siege," the season finale, in which Marines from Earth arrive through the Stargate and indicate that a message sent by Atlantis -- complete with specs on the city itself and on the Wraith hive ships -- was received. |

Certainly leads into a good 2 part finale, can't wait for that.
Does anyone know how they were actually able to open up a wormhole back to Earth ? edit: I guess this means they got the ZPM from Brotherhood? This post has been edited by Danimoth: Dec 2nd 2004, 6:43 AM |

If they managed to get a ZPM it couldn't have been in very good condition as it has been stated above that there was only enough time to send a one way message.A proper ZPM would have allowed two way communication and subsequent gate travel.
Another possibility is that they have found a Long Range Ancient Transmitter with only a limited transmission time, possibly powered by a weakened ZPM or a rare cosmic alignment takes place. I get the feeling that this will be a clipshow episode as each member compiles a story to tell to send to Earth. I agree it would be a good lead up to the two part season finale. |

A clip show... I didn't think of that. That would make sense. There really doesn't seem to be a lot of information on this episode yet. I guess we have to expect one every season. Oh well...

Pretty certain this is the real deal,as it leads up to the two part season finale.Does anyone know (in the land downunder) if and when Stargate Atlantis will be airing on normal TV.

I don't think this will be another episode like 'Home'. Reading the spoilers for the 2 part finale, gives me the impression that it wont - since SG-1 DID receive information about the attack etc etc.
As for clipshows.. yeah I liked the episode "Disclosures" Not all of them are bad, they can be good.... but they could be tragic. So, if this one is a clipshow, I hope it isn't bad (it could be good) however there hasn't been THAT much happen in the show.... so there isn't really too many things to have clips on. Offtopic: And most of all, there's some great comments made in SG-1 when Thor is around, adama pointed out one "*Supreme* Commander" Another I liked was in.... Covenant Jack: "Well, Thor and I are meeting with the president in 5 minutes, I'll bring it up." Sam: "5 minutes?" Jack: "Oh yeah:)" |

Here's what I want to know: How come no alien race ever asks "why do you have big velcro patches with nothing on them?"

Yeah, seems lame. Maybe the photographer was sick all of the shooting days except for back at the puddle jumper set? I only post what MGM gives me... |

I can make that comment too (after watching it). My new thought after watching 1x16 The Brotherhood, was maybe they found some long range communications device (after some extra searching/playing with the long range sensors) But that doesn't seem too likely looking at the pictures:| This post has been edited by Danimoth: Jan 6th 2005, 9:40 PM |

It was a pirrty big satalite for just a weapon, must have some sort of communication thingy on it. Would be the most likely way if they are going to use a communication thing. They use a naquada generator which has just powerfull enough to send a message. |

but the sattelite thing was inactive. it is a possibility that the communication thing could still be working, unlikely though.
i wonder what the power source would have been? ZPM? The episode looks good...if it doesn't all revolve around the puddle jumper. |

The highlight of this episode for me was seeing the SGC at the end. Seeing Sgt. Harrisman and Lt. Col. Carter was the best part. One thing I don't get, why did the SGC dialing computer only appear 7 symbols on the incoming wormhole.

But on the other computer Carter sees that the message was sent from Atlantis. |
