biggrin.gif

i really liked this ep, especially when sheperd pushed mcay off the balcony and said that he shot him "only in the leg" that was classic, and its great to get the humour like with stargate.

i would have to say that i like the earth style stargate better than the atlantis stargate

iam watching 38 minutes tonight (in australia) we are way behind with america and UK sad.gif

ah, a new user coming into the atlantis series...welcome, welcome!

Yes, that was quite comical when Shep was doing those things to Mckay...throwing him off of the balcony, quite classic really.
and the way they were explaining it to Weir was pretty interesting but unfortunately for me i didn't really get into the episode.
It had a good storyline but for me it just wasn't there, no spark or anything.

What you have to remember is that at this point the cast had only been working together for a couple of months. The same was true in the first episodes of SG1, their interaction in later seasons is so much better than in the first few episodes of SG1.

hmm, maybe that explains the awkwardness between them all...
but in SG-1 there were some back reasons to why they weren't really connecting.
Jack didn't appreciate females in the way that Sam was working along side him.
But i guess none of them really knew each other and that could explain why they arent...bonding in the scenes.

This was a good episode, would've been better if they didnt use the same thing for both sg-1 and sga. I liked at the end how mackay saved every one.

laugh.gif Mackay: "without food I will be dead by the end of the day."

Very funny episode, very good in allowing some interaction between the main characters. What they are like and what they think of each other and allow the team to bond through sharing weird experiences like Mackay and Shep fooling around with that device.

Although, I think they could have found a better way to introduce the transporters into the show.

McKay and Sheppard were both adorable in this epi. They were like two little boys with a new toy in the beginning. McKay was such an A$$ in SG1 and its weird finding myself actually liking his conceited snarkiness here. I honestly don't understand it. blink.gif

I know few people have pointed theis out but I thought the part when Shepard pushed macky off the balconey was great the only funnyer part was when Dr. wier questiond testing it by pushing him off a balconey and shepard points out that they first tried to test it by shooting him "in the Leg" laugh.gif that was great. I think it was really great how they started to pull the characters together.

I thought it was a crap epi, except when they were talkin bout the ancients researching ascension and when Shep and Mckay were in the gate room and Shep pushed Mckay off the balcony.
