I think the repeating starts with Jack sitting in the canteen and Teal'c getting hit by the door. He doesn't have time to stop or walk on the right, it just happens immediately when it's repeating.

I also laughed when Jack greets Siler and he falls off the stairs. I know he's injured but I just have to laugh. Naughty. laugh.gif

i would like to know what the question was that Daniel kept asking Jack

Something along the lines of "How about you and me, Saturday night, dinner and the flicks? I think it would be alot of fun, but that's my opinion....what do you think?" whistling.gif

On the armbands, that was "Upgrades" not WoO.

Yeah that question annoyed my sister to no end. She spent half the show saying "What is he asking though?" and "Well, why doesn't Jack just ask him to repeat it?" and "But what was he asking?!"

hmm, i thought the first 20 minutes was just boring though..it's like teh same scene over and over again and it just got so annoying...and then it started becoming funnier when it was shown what happened to Teal'c everytime they went back in the loop

i thought that too but after tealc and jack couldn't be bothered to help daniel with any more with the translation because they just knew it all and jack was correcting daniel on the translation (the look on daniel's face) and just started messing about, i think, are one of the best parts of stargate ever, especially with the golf scene.

I love that the fact that a lot of the best parts of this episodes were last minute add-ins because clearly it is one of the best loved episodes of the series. A sort of happy accident smile.gif

Christy my apologies if I gave you a "about to be ripped into" fright! Soooo far from my intention smile.gif I thought you posed an interesting idea "Watch it without the add-ins" and wanted to comment.

::: offers chocolate to apologize :::: I just thought it was a neat "Hey! Good idea!" thing biggrin.gif

It just wouldn't have been half the episode it was without those "OH HELL, we're short on time!" things.

True, sorry. Somehow I merged those two great episodes, my apologize. They're both very funny though.

I bet everybode wondered what the question was about and that's just the deal with it. It was so funny to see Jack not knowing what to say and Daniel, very convincing and probably trying to have a discussion with Jack. If I'd have been Daniel I'd have laughed all the time. He seemed to be so serious, I love this scene.

I don't think the first 20 minutes are boring, when they are on the planet it's not as funny as on Earth though. And I liked how Jack tried to convince the guy, especially as he talked about his son.

What did Jack say? Something about the worst part being Daniel asking him that question over and over, and he wasn't paying attention the first time. laugh.gif
And Daniel/Michael kept a straight face every time, how did he do that? I would have been cracking up.

I found it interesting that it was Daniel that made the suggestion of doing weird stuff. I always thought he was the goody-two-shoes.

That's what they want you to think wink.gif

I like the part where Jack kisses Sam in front of hammond. I wounder how many times Jack did that one.

RDA said he had to do that particular scene quite a few times, you know, just to get it right whistling.gif

I'm not going to go off on a list of all the funny quotes in this ep. It does show how frustrating and in O'Neill's words "Wacko" it would be to have to repeat the same day over and over, but hey, they got to have some fun!

I just loved the pottery scene where he's in that blue shirt, very nice! blush.gif
