Wow, slightly surprised by this. Even though ratings weren't great but I thought it would at least go on for a season 3....and then be cancelled.
I'm pretty concerned that season 2 will just end in a big cliffhanger without any resolution. As I doubt the writers anticipated this, so yay for that... But to be honest, I read that ratings have been half that of what Atlantis got in its final season. I'm still not convinced that the quality of the show deserves another season, as harsh as that could be to say. I'm not sure I'll miss it when it's gone...even though I would continue to watch it. They should have wrote more cage matches, ghost hunts or maybe an auction or two into the episodes. Then SyFy wouldn't even THINK of canceling it. It wouldn't have made any sense, but then again, not much on SyFy does anymore. -Shylo |

Hey IP! I was also pretty sure there was going to be another season. The show was picking up steam, and getting to be really good. They should have wrote more cage matches, ghost hunts or maybe an auction or two into the episodes. Then SyFy wouldn't even THINK of canceling it. It wouldn't have made any sense, but then again, not much on SyFy does anymore. -Shylo That's pretty much what Syfy respects. |

Apparently Brad Wright has plans to continue it somehow, and is pursuing several options to do that....although they said better about Atlantis.
It's typical now that the next 10 episodes will probably be the best the show's ever done! P.s. Hey JTMAG1 |

I wouldn't call the show great, but I started to enjoy watching it. And you know it's going to be really good now, because they are going to want another network to pick them up. Or for Syfy to change their mind. I doubt it happen though, because Syfy is working on getting rid of science fiction. |

Of course, I could be wrong and Canada gets it, but Sky One is not available anywhere in the US. We do, however get BBC America. |

What a well overdue piece of good news! How on earth it ever got a second series is beyond belief.
The real shame is that they ever got past the pilot. The show was dull dull dull. Who here can honestly say they found it exciting to watch? I'm sure most people felt "It's stargate related so I'll watch it for that point only". This is what happens when greed gets in the way, you get pointless shows. Fingers crossed for a proper end to Atlantis |

I continued to watch as a chore because it was stargate. But it developed into a pretty good show. Not saying it was great, but it was worth watching. |

I realize I am in something of a minority group of SG fans, but I did. A new show/movie of Atlantis will never see the light of day, unfortunately. The franchise is going the way of The 'Verse. |

Or for f**ks sake... This happened exactly when the show was starting to finally get really interesting. I didn't like the show when it started, I'll admit it, but in time, it gained some respect in my book. I agree with Revan, it wasn't the most amazing show ever, but I started enjoying watching it.

Whatcha been up to? |

Oh, been really busy with work and everything, and watching a few new shows, like V and The Event, hoping to find something good for my eyes. BTW, if anyone has any idea, is there any chance that another network might pick up SGU? I was thinking none whatsoever, but then I found some comments somewhere (can't remember where), and they were very optimistic about the idea... |

I also started watching a bunch of new shows. With the downfall of Heroes, SG and 24, my slate was wide open. I picked up No Ordinary Family, Hawaii 5-0, V, The Event. I watch Fringe too. There's a lot of stuff on, but no longevity behind any of it. Its hard for other stations to pick up shows that are so completely Scifi (the genre not the channel). |

My best friend in boot camp is one of the executive producers for the show, and it's pretty freaking awesome! (Especially with Morena Baccarin in it!!!!) |
