EPISODE: "Resurrection"
Written by: Michael Shanks
Directed by: Amanda Tapping

The SGC have come across a teenager named Anna in an undisclosed NID facility. She looks to be around 20 or so but is in reality a clone, and only a year old, the product of a some nasty NID experiment blending human and Gou'ald. As with all clones, her lifespan is pretty limited.

Anna lives in a Plexiglass encased environment and although she knows of the world outside, has never been outside. (Sort of like in that TV show "Pretender"). Anyway, it seems Anna committed some really horrific killing of a few dozen folk. She's schizophrenic to a degree: her body also houses the alter ego of sorts of the Gou'ald Sekhmet, of which Anna is not aware. She says that the horrifying images in the artwork in her 'home' are what come to her in her dreams. She doesn't like them, but Kessler, the man in charge, would not let her remove them.

Kessler is the man who created her, an amoral scientist for whom the end justifies the means, and has no feeling whatsoever from the high cost of his project: the fact that his team was slaughtered by Anna. He's not much help ? as he has his own agenda ? when SG-1 comes to the base. It doesn't help that the man works for the rogue part of the NID.

Some of her artwork is crucial to opening up an Ark (some kind of Gou'ald device). Teal'c assists in this deciphering. Once open, they find out the ark is very much like Pandora's box - it's a bomb. And it seems only Sekhmet may be able to help them stop the bomb from exploding.

The situation grows more tense when Anna gets loose.

Agent Barrett (from season six episode "Smoke and Mirrors") is also involved in this case, and Carter seems to have a lot dealings with him as she knows him.

Characters: Agent Malcolm Barrett (good agent), Anna/Sekhmet (human/Goa-uld clone), Kessler (rogue NID scientist)

You can find more on Sekhmet at http://www.per-sekhmet.org/. Sekhmet means "She who is powerful."

Hmmm, looks like another Earth based episode... I'm not sure if that's good or not. As for the cloning side of it, I'm just a little bit worried with there already being episodes featuring cloning this season, but it does sound like it will be good. It also sounds like it's going to be touching on some very deep emotional stuff with the morality and freedom issues probably being quite dominant.

Again, not sure about the idea of another Goa'uld being loose on Earth (even if it is inhabiting a clone). What I find odd is how Anna can not know that she has a Goa'uld in her. I thought that the host was aware of everything that was going on while the Goa'uld was in control... ok she might not understand or know of the Goa'uld race, but surely she would realise that something is controlling her?

I've been thinking that it can't be long before they bring the NID back into things as they seem to have had a reasonably long absence up until now.

We have seen cases before where the host is unaware that they are being controlled by something. In the season 6 ep Nightwalkers, the symbiotes could only take control of their hosts at night after they fell asleep, and in the morning, the host was completly unaware of anything the symbiote had done while in control. I cant remember the reason for this, but for some reason i think they didnt have naquadah in them, but i cant be sure..... maybe you or someone else can remember the reason the symbiotes could only take control at night. Maybe this could also be the reason why the "horrifying images" in Anna's artwork, only "come to her in her dreams". The NID scientists may have purposley done something to the symbiote in order to successfully create this human/Goa'uld hybrid.

Anyway, i think this sounds like a good ep. smile.gif

This is a good point... I had forgotten about this. It was kind of in the same circumstances too, with cloning etc. I think the reason that they couldn't take full control was because they were not fully mature. Come to think of it, the same thing happened to Kawalski in 'The Enemy Within'.

However, the fact that Sehkmet is well known in mythology would seem to imply that the symbiote would have to be mature, so I don't see how this couldn't really be used as an explanation. Maybe they were growing clones of Sehkmet and the clone that is in her wasn't fully mature *shrug*

It will be good to see how AT directs this and MS has already proven himslef a good writer!! Sounds a good episode especially the NID movements as far as there understanding and experimenting of Goa'ulds has actually gone as they have tried to get their hands on one for such a long time!!

Seems like a Nightwalkers sort of continuation even though wasn't the NID!! unsure.gif

Just by getting rid of the commitee, doesn't mean the rogue agents are just gonna turn themselves in... Agenst are still out there, perhaps even with a new leader, or leaders.

Anyway, sounds like a good ep. and from what I can tell from the preview, I'd say Anna has no Goa'uld inside of her, the Goa'uld is part of her on a genetic base. Sorta like a DNA-blend from Goa'uld and humans. At least, that's my view on this.

Haha, I bet that'll throw a wrench into the "shippers" plans. Carter and Daniel sounds more logical than Sam and Jack. More stuff in commom, closer age together, both extremely smart...so on....

... and Daniel isn't in the military so there would be no real problem with it. Not that I think it's a good thing really though - they better have a good excuse rolleyes.gif

... and what's this? Teal'c doesn't even bother to wear hats that cover his Jaffa emblem anymore? I thought that was the whole point of him wearing them while they were off base blink.gif

Well there you have it. Confirmation that a Daniel/Sam pairing would be better than that awful Jack/Sam crap. Now I have that picture to torment the J/S shippers, w00t! And I know they can't deny, it does screw up their plans...

I just now noticed Teal'c being careless with the hat. They might not be on earth for all we know. All we can do is speculate til we see the ep.

The photos are great. Not sure what to make of the Daniel/Sam kiss. I suspect if this keeps up, Teal'c is gonna get awful annoyed as he's the only one who hasn't kissed Sam! w00t.gif

I suspect that no matter which members of SG1 kiss eaach other, it ain't gonna stay that way. I don't see fen desires to see Sam paired with Jack, or Daniel with Jack (slash). Why can't people just work together and be good, close friends??

So, in S7 we're going to see Sam kissing Jack and Daniel. When do we see Sam kissing Teal'c? It's only fair!

I was sort of hoping that it would just be mouth to mouth but upon a closer look at the picture, I having my doubts. Firstly in CPR the victim should always be lying flat on the ground with their head facing directly upwards. In that picture Sam is elevating Daniel's head off the ground; which is a real "no-no" in CPR. Daniel is also on his side. Furthermore, while doing the mouth to mouth portion of the CPR Sam should be plugging Daniel's nose with right hand and pushing his chin up with her left and she should continue holding him that way until she is done her breaths. So unfortunately that is definitely kissing; and it doesn't exactly look like its passive either biggrin.gif .

Wow you've really analysed this I can see.
I should also add that the fact that Daniel appear to be raising his arm and pointing a finger at Sam might indiate that he's awake and therefore not actually in need of CPR.

Jeez! Since she finally started gettin' some that Sam has turned into a right little slapper! biggrin.gif

FWIW I agree that Sam and Daniel would make a more logical pairing and would make a more successful couple (plus their kids would kick ass), but I still like the thought of Sam and Jack. I think I'm just a big fan of the unobtainable angsty romance...hell Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books and that's all about angstromance.
I'm not actually surprised at all to be honest. I had this feeling that somewhere (althoguh I actually thought it would be Grace) they were going to throw a huge curve ball in the shipper ring. I kind of worked out that Sam would dally with the idea of hooking up with Daniel and, not wanting to leap to conclusions, but it looks like I wasn't too far off.
Oddly enough, despite being a self confessed JS shipper, I'm not really upset...kind of excited actually. (me bad shipper whistling.gif )

I can't say I'm displeased by that photo. Not one bit. Though I'm sure someway/somehow, it won't happen like it LOOKS --- but I've always thought Sam and Daniel would be a good pairing, and a rough, probably angsty turn from friendship into something else (never an easy ride). In that pic, he does have his hand up... it looks like he's about to thread it through her hair, maybe. Hmm.
