Ok I just have to say "Look at that Kiss". Oh baby.

Anyway the thing that stuck out for me was the few scenes from Heros. Sam on the gate ramp at a podium giving a speech about sacrifice, then cuts to a scene with Jack falling to the ground. Sort of confirms one there is a death, and then also that Sam blames herself for Jack getting hurt.

Also the scene where Hammond and SG1 are taking. Possibly taking about his 'retirement' from SG1?

But man that kiss. I just wanted to get up and jump around and start screaming.

The SciFi Channel ran a new 30 second promotion commercial for the second half of Stargate SG-1's Seventh Season.

Following is a run down of the clips used in the commercial -- these include my poor attempt at describing clips from NEW EPISODES.

SCIFI CHANNEL ANNOUNCER VOICE OVER: "They've traveled to unknown worlds."

Clips running are:

"Avenger 2.0" - View of the SGC Control Room (looking towards the Stargate). Sam is seated to the left, Sgt. Davis to the right, General Hammond is standing off to the right. One of the SGC teams is returning through the Stargate.

NEW CLIP -- SGC Gateroom -- Teal'c (wearing Jaffa uniform), embraces Jack?as Bra'tac watches off to the right hand side, and Daniel stands in the background. The wormhole is open.

NEW CLIP -- Jack, sitting down, and wearing what looks like a white shirt (possibly an infirmary gown?), and Sam (wearing civilian clothing, appears to standing and leaning down?) are?kissing. Jack's right hand comes up to touch the back of Sam's neck, and Jack is wearing a bracelet on his right wrist.

Clip of the Prometheus traveling in space, looks to be approaching a hyperspace window?and is being followed by a NEW, ALIEN VESSEL.

NEW CLIP -- Robert Picardo (the Doctor from Star Trek: Voyager) is standing in a room (looks like a SGC guest quarters room), yelling at Daniel, who is seated.

NEW CLIP -- Jonas, with long hair and wearing a white outfit, walks out of a room -- looks like on Kelowna.

Off screen voice of Sam saying: We know the location of the Lost City."

Off screen voice of possibly Jonas saying: "This is it!"

Wow! that breakdown was great! I didn't see half of that stuff in the promo *flips to sci-fi to wait anxiously for it to run again cause it wont dowload*. Its not sad that I'm sitting here waiting for a commercial to run....is it?

Um... that was... interesting to say the least.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but uh, that was Sam and Jack snogging right? (Or was it some figment of my imagination? Coz I kinda fell off my chair at that moment in shock.)

This half of the season looks good. Especially Heroes and the Lost city... I wanna throw a tantrum but I won't. I'll make sure to be a good girl and wait patiently till March... Hmmm, or I could just think about it a little while longer.

Make sure you have QuickTime 6. The clip won't run in earlier versions.

I have a question.
Many, many fans, don't like or don't care about the JS ship, and many fans love Daniel or Teal'c.
So, while I can understand the joy of all the shippers, I can't help to be mad with all the people working on Stargate.
That promo is an insult to all the loyal Daniel fans, like me, but also to all the Teal'c fans.
It makes no sense, they can kiss and have sex all during the promo, I couldn't care less, if that's the direction they want to take, I suppose it's all about the ratings, but damn, why Daniel must be erased everytime, he's back, Jonas is gone, I really don't understand the problem.

I hope that even if you are all screaming in joy, someone will feel the pain of fans like me and give me some hope, because I really don't feel this is the Stargate I used to know.

About the kiss? I wouldn't worry. Speculation from al lthe spoilers that are out there is that the kiss is from "Grace" (said to air Jan 16th) and it's not real. It's a hallucination or an alternate universe type thing. So, shippers can have the kiss, but it won't be real.

Sorta like going to the holodeck in Trek

Basically, if you were watching BSG, you can see that Scifi is selling most of its shows on the premise of sex ("Hot sex!" or whatever as one BSG character cried in the throes of, well, ahem...) and for those viewers that are looking for sex on Stargate, this will keep them glued to their set, and there are plenty of explosions for fans who like to see things blown up, and some of us will just cross our fingers and hope the script isn't yet another retreaded Trek plot

Thanks for the promo clip. Definitely some "Heros" and "Lost City" stuff in there. That kiss could be from either of those two eps or "Grace". It was great that I could go frame by frame and look at it myself.

Looks like the second half of the season is going to be much better than the first half...of course having a couple of 2 parters doesn't hurt either.

I agree with px7555, that no matter how much I might wish for that kiss to indicate that the whole Sam/Jack thing is moving to a different level/place, it is probably not "real" or just thrown into the clip to strat the rumor mill going again and build momentum for the rest of the season. This has been done before with the still photos of Sam and Jack in seemingly compromising positions that were never part of an actual episode but purely for "advertising."

As for those that feel that the show is not what it used to be, I agreee with that too. If the show never changed, it most likely would not be on the air anymore. SciFi is simply "upping the ante" to draw in more viewers and appeal to a wider audience. After all, more viewers = higher ratings = more advertising dollars = more money for SciFi. No, I'm not offended by this, I still like the show and I will continue to watch. Now, if only that kiss *were* real.

Some great beattle scenes too oooo i'm getting excited i need to calm down!!

1. I can say that Many many many more fans give a damn about other character interactions apart from Daniel/Teal'c, Jack/Daniel, Sam/Daniel, Teal'c/Sam, Teal'c/Jack...
We really do CARE about all of them, but SG1 fans should also care about interactions between a CO and his 2IC of 7 yrs. And I'm NOt talking about shippy stuff either! Who gives a crap if they have feelings for each other- that's just an added bonus- sexual tension has always been a great audience builder anyway.
But the point I'm trying to make is...It makes a change! The last time there was anything (in my opinion) remotely "shippy" was in season 4 ok? So don't wet your pants just by hearing a few "happy" comments about Sam and Jack appearing a little "closer" this season- (even if it is all a dream... )

2. The promo was only 30 seconds long for Godsake! And you were "insulted" by it? (Too much caffeine perhaps?) It wasn't even a true representation of how much more Daniel Jackson and Teal'c we're gonna see in the second half of the season- Besides this season has been dubbed "The new adventures of Daniel Jackson" after all- and I haven't once whined about that- I think he deserved that time on screen.
You're not one of those sensitive SaveDanielJackson people are you? Never satisfied with anything... *Nag, nag, nag*

3. And why shouldn't we be screaming for joy? (Even if it is for a few seconds, until we realise that it's probably not even real!) Better than being a miserable sod and wondering why they didn't add a "few more seconds" of DJ in the TV promo- so lets be realistic here for a moment- Sci Fi were being smart- they wanted to make the audience go, "Whoa! What are they doing? They're not allowed to do that?", and I'm sorry to say that the "kiss" was effective- so live with it and stop being such a drama-queen!

I watched the second run of Battlestar just to see the commercial again, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with watching just to see a commercial. Also like Mithwriter I felt the need to watch it over and over, frame by frame.

As for the kiss, yeah it may just be a 'trick', but for now the anticipation of when that kiss will be aired is enough for me. We also know that it is very unlikely that they will get together this season. Doesn't mean we don't like the tease of it all. Let us shippers have our month of wild speculation.

I agree with SG1nut's post. She made some really good points.

Out of all the characters Teal'c is the only one who has been under used. I have to say season 7 has been a good year for both Daniel, Sam and Teal'c. For good or bad less RDA equals more MS, AT, and CJ.

Also the promo gave me a sense of excitement for season 7. I think the second half of season 7 will be spectacular.

Just a stray thought about 'the kiss'.....Most people think it's going to be a trick or 'not real' based on the one shot, and I couldn't help but wonder what would happen to all those fans out there if it turned out to be 'real'....

Yeah Mithwriter I admit if it turned out to be a real kiss in real life I would be stunned for a few minutes. This would then be followed by loud hollowing and ecstatic jumping around. Then of course I would immediatly head for the forum to post like a rabid dog.

I guess just knowing that Jack will probably be head of SGC even if the kiss is real I don't think we are going to see Major Sam O'Neill next season. Any realistic shipper knows they have to wait until the end of the series to get together. Right?

i think the idea of this kiss being real is just great! i wonder how many shippers will die of a heart attack *g*

and for the thing with carter talking on the ramp. there is jack jack standing in the right next to teal'c. so the speech can?t be about him. i think her words and then the picture of him falling down is just to make us think something could happen and to make us speculate if hes maby dieing.

I am sure that speech is for someone else ... think who isn't lined up with the other guys ... don't think if you don't want to know. But yeah, that is what that whole formal dress/sad faces/speech about sacrifice is about.
