That was not Narim. It was Simon. Same actor, different roles.

I knew it was the same actor. I guess since it's a different show, they felt people wouldn't recognize him

Or maybe he survived Anubis' attack and came to earth with some other Tollans and they promessed each other that they won't share tech with the "earthlings"and started to live amongst us... Maybe he'll play a part in the 8th season against the 2001-2010-guys...

I am glad I wasnt the only one thinking that.

I thought he was hiding, and they would show a bit more to show that he knew about the stargate or something.

Good catch. I thought he looked familiar. I was like " is that the dude that is married to sam in the 2010 episode or... "? smile.gif

Thanks for clarifying it.

I guess this means we aren't going to see the Tolans again; it would be hard to have him play two roles at the same time.

1) Read my second post on this thread again.
2) He may still be Narim.
3) How the hell the producers would let an actor play two different roles in series? (sokar & anubis doesn't count)

Him still being Narim is wishful thinking. If it were Narim, there'd really be no reason for him not to reveal himself to SG-1 -- especially since he probably still likes Sam. And him being with a woman who just happens to be quickly chosen to be involved with the Stargate is just a little too much of a coincidence.

Exacly my thoughts on the subject, to have Narim sitting there watching "his" girl say goodbye doesn't fit at all. I think the producers could have done better. I mean, come on, how hard would it be to get a guy to fill in for this role...a role that we will never see this guy in again. If you ask me, I think that was just cheap on the producers part...but heh, who am I to judge? rolleyes.gif

Any way, I'm still sore about it. mad.gif

Any actor could have played that part. He only had one line, after he tried Dr. Weir's phone, and it was, "No kidding." So anyone could have done that.

I know that sometimes people complain about certain aspects of the show. But my pet peeve is the producers thinking that we are not smart enough to recognize the actors from before, and they use them again. SG has a cult following and the fans are very knowledgeable. In this case, it was very lame because the actor played a somewhat major character before, not a minor one.

This may be a bit of a nitpick but i dont think they actually say what relationship that character is to dr wier so until we know for sure im not assuming they are married or w/e.

Well it could be wosre star trek does it all the time , The founder women was in several voyages , tuvox was in ds9 . I tend to reconise the voice through all the make up and find it quite annoying. I mean how hard is it to find someone to play a alien

My pet peeve with it is they could at least made him look a little different, I mean give him a mustache or a beard or something. Other than that, it was just a little treat from them for the fans, it just could have been done better.

Well, he could be in it again - otherwise what was the point of putting that scene in the show? The Atlantis team will visit earth occasionally once they find some power packs, so the producers give the role to a guy who was in the show a couple of years back because maybe he's having trouble finding work or he just wants to be in Stargate again after his character was killed off. Give the guy a break.

They've used one actor for multiple roles on a couple of occassions:

1) Alex Zahara has played multiple alien roles (Xailes(sp), Eggar, Warrick etc)

2) The actress who now plays Cassie was formerly the girl in Bane, season 2

That is true, and I believe the actor who played Camulus in SG1 was also something else. But Narim was a role that was used more than once. 3 times if I am remembering correctly (I could be wrong). So everyone should be really familiar with him now, I was surprised they used in in SGA. I wonder if we will ever see him again in SGA.

Camel-Ass... er Camulus is played by Steve Bacic who also played Major Coburn in 'The First Ones' and 'Maternal Instinct', but I recognized him as Telemachus Rhade and Gaheris Rhade on the show 'Andromeda'.

Alex Zahara has played 8 roles on SG-1.

Garwin Sanford has only played Narim in SG-1 and plays Simon in Atlantis (which is listed for Episode 101 - 'Rising Part 1' and Episode 108 - 'Home')

I like this actor and judging from the pictures I can picture a nice episode.
So if he does it right, who cares if he was Narim before.
