I wish daniels ex would've joined the SGC, I think her and daniel had aLOT of chemistry. I also would've liked to see her face when Daniel explained to him where hes been for the past 5 years...

But...of course...she has to become a host...it follows the Daniel formula.

He finds some hot girl whom he cares about, and the go'ould choose her as a host. Same as sam's black widow formula. whistling.gif

Certainly the most amusing parts of this episode were some of Teal'c's expressions with having to go fishing. It's also interesting how they bring that back in Sight Unseen when Teal'c tells Jonas just how lucky he is that O'Neill didn't invite him to go fishing!

But apart from a few cute scenes and this really being a Daniel episode, I'm not certain what the purpose of it was. Did they want to introduce a new Goa'uld? If so it's a somewhat convoluted way of doing so. I mean it wasn't a terrible episode per-se and we did get to see the mini Goa'uld pyramid ship, but it didn't seem to have a whole lot of reasion for the direction it took.

And I'm also not sure what they were trying to show by having SC working on a motorcycle. She turned down fishing so that she could work on a motorcycle? Well I guess anything's possible depending on your interest. But are they trying to make her all powerful? PhD in astrophysics, alien technology expert, formidable soldier, mechanic. Is there anything else that she could be good at that she isn't already?

chiroho, i think they just wanted the audience to have a look at Daniel's past.

about the motercylce, did you see 'nightwalkers'?

hey, we all know carter's good at everything. and i agree w/ chiroho that the ep had no point. i liked it cuz it was about danny boy, but i guess they wanted to clue everybody in that osiris would be playing a real big part in upcoming eps.

But apart from a few cute scenes and this really being a Daniel episode, I'm not certain what the purpose of it was.

By comparison to other episodes that were shown in Season 4, this was one of the best.
I noticed that Season 4 was primarily based on homeworld adventures and new offworld cultures. This episode brought about a breath of fresh air, since it disclosed Danny?s past, and introduced us to one of his ex-s which proved that he wasn?t a dork all his life.

I?m an Osiris fan.

Anyway, I came to realize that season 4 was the worse season ever, and episodes like 403, 406 and 413 kept the show afloat that year. Without those three episodes the show would have fallen into obscurity.

No-way! Season 4 was one of the best, how the hell could you think it was the worst?!

Anyway, this ep was ok but pretty pointless when you really think about it. We learn more about Daniels past and a new Goa'uld is introduced in the form of Daniels ex. In my opinion definately one of the worst, although nothing can compare to "the changeling".

I think it's quite confusing that osiris is usually male (isis was female) so it was not clear until the end if the goa'uld osiris had possessed sarah or ?whatwashisname?.

that poor guy, he found out a lot but now daniels gonna tell him he was sort of dreaming... imagine that dialogue tongue.gif

ps do you know that the title in germany was "r?ckkehr der osiris" meaning the return of osiris - BUT the article suggestet that osiris was female dry.gif so I was even more confused

What happened to Sarah? Did she survive or die with her symbiote?

Also, what is the name of the actress who played Sarah? She is hot.

Rocks out.

Isn't Sarah still host to Osiris? Unless I missed something... or we learn something else in one of the season 7 episodes I've not seen.

The actress that plays Sarah/Osiris is Anna-Louise Plowman.

I liked the part when they find out how old the amulet was and Daniel, with proof that his theories were correct, did not want her to tell anybody. That must have been really confusing! No matter, whether that was just Sarah or Osiris at the time.

Yep, I'd second that.
I also found myself wondering/hoping Steven would turn up again. But I'm overly fond of the archaeology centered eps so if Steven was in it then it'd have to be about archaeology.

What I want to know is if Steven ever planned to let the scientific world know that Daniel's theories were correct, or if he just planned to steal the limelight himself with whatever that amulet produced? He can't now, whether he wanted to or not, but did he ever plan to?

I really don't think Sarah is that pretty in the face, but I saw her in a season 5 ep the other night, and...MAN does she have a nice body. They make her look really good in the ep where Daniel goes to the system lord meeting.

I was under the impression that sarah/osiris was the one that caused the explosion. I mean if she and or the good doctor opened the jar then
'whammy'! a new goa'uld. then the one that was not taken as a host
would be killed by the other to cover it up. an explosion seems like a
reasonable cover-up.
