'i thought the episode rocked, worth the wait of 4 or 5 months aswell, when the super soldier came on the transporter it got my heart beating so much suspense in that moment, , which hasn?t happened a while in stargate for me, the episode wasn?t as predictable as i thought it would be, as to the new army, looks cool, hehe'
from what I said in spoiler section, just to extend on that, how did the guide, the first guide survive after being shot and stranded in same place for like what must have been 3-4 days if not more. I liked how jack and the agent made up at the end aswell, overall great episode, looking forward to the rest of the season in extreme anticipation, especially after seeing the promo. The shippyness was really nice to see, it was also great to see jack in it for a long period of time.

?I still cant get over the fact we get to see it before the Americans, Britain rules, respect to SKY1?

Ok, quite a bit to say about this episode, some good, some bad...

Firstly I really thought that it severely lacked any significant amount of suspense, kind of like I thought the first part did. There were some interesting plot elements, but I really didn't find it too thrilling or exciting to watch unsure.gif

I'm really curious now as to which Goa'uld Queen that was that we saw... argh, they should have given her a name to satisfy my curiousity before blowing her up.

The sarcophagus box looks pretty scary and it seems like it's like an enhanced version of the sarcophagus that can work over long distances too. That guy really looked like some undead zombie... maybe they are going to say that's where the stories of the undead came from? Who knows.

I found the use of the transport rings in mid-flight very interesting too as I didn't know that they could do that... even more interesting when the rings got ripped off the ship and flew away. I wonder if that means the ship now can't use the rings again? I guess so, unless somehow they are created/replicated each time the transporter is used.

As soon as I saw that massive army of supersoldiers, I really couldn't help but think "Attack of the clones"... maybe I'm looking for the Star Wars links now, but that really stood out for me.

I also found it really funny when that Goa'uld confronted Sam, Jacob and Teal'c. He had the advantage that they didn't know he was behind them, so he says "fools" before raising his hand device and so Teal'c just turns around and zats him and Carter finishes him off with her P90 classic Goa'uld stupidity biggrin.gif

There were quite a few very mild shippy moments between Sam and Jack in the episode I noticed... like them showing they care a lot about each other's well-being, but I was happy to see they took it no further otherwise my opinion of this episode might have been even lower smile.gif

This ep kicked ass, firstly i have to say as i mentioned in my review of evolution part 1 that I thought that the Daniel story line kicked ass and is a bit better than the Anubis one.

Ok heres what i liked.......i liked the way Jacob dressed up in the super soldier outfit laugh.gif

I remember looking at that spoiler pics thinking that the real one was escaping. Anyone know where the alive one is now lol. I thought the device was really sweet that made that terrorist guy get super strong and started taking out his own men. I thought the camo that Jack was wearing was class and i liked how him and that Burke guy kinda had history with the friendly fire incident. It was great when Burke told O'Neill that it was Woods who was the traitor and he didn't tell him cause of Wood's wife etc.

Oh yeah when O'Neill was off to saver Danny i liked that acting between AT and RDA saying good bye and good luck that was pretty cool. Ultimate comedy was when Bra'tac ringed that SS out of the cargo ship and he kinda just fell lmao.
FAB ep i loved it, got a crappy break till Jan 6th now..........

Yeah lmao they are so dumb some times, correction though......not the P90 on this occassion, it was her custom built mean ass thing king.gif

Edit: And since when did Jack speak Spanish. Or have i been missing something these past seven years.

woohoo!!! wot a brill episode. i totally loved the sam/jack moments before and after their missions, hummmm im sensing some big shippiness coming up. The super soldier army totally reminds me of Star Wars, but hell who cares its brill!! when sam, teal'c and bra'tac kicked that super soldiers arse was wicked. did any one see the preview for "Grace", wow, can't wait for that episode either.

WOOHOOOO too- Evolution part 2 was brilliant. I loved this ep. It had everything, action, tension, suspense, super soldiers, Anubis, LOTS of Jack.......and most importantly MAJOR SHIPPY-NESS!!! at the beginning AND the end. Ok it wasn't a kiss but it was a major breakthough in the old Sam and Jack relationship.

I am gonna watch it again tomorrow when its repeated AND then on Saturday just to see the shippy moment again - I know I'm sad, but hey ho.

and what about that huge army of super soldiers - yikes!!

yey for the shippers cloud9.gif

I thought sam was looking a bit old in some of the ep's at the beginning of season 7 especially "revisions", but i think shes looking as good as ever now. (except maybe from when she just got into the space ship thingy in part 2 of evolutions when her hair was blown all over the place).
I agree those super soldiers are really scary, when the soldier came into the ship bra'tac had and sam was shooting it but it just didn't die, arrrgh scary! then it just wacked her one! ouch!!! that gotta hurt.

Ok. My initial thought when this ep started was..."Hmm, this is al very nice and good but where's the sci fi then?"

This was quickly replaced by the thought that. "Ayeup! What's all that about between Jack and Sam then?"

And followed by. "Woohoo! This is really good stuff!" (er...not the shippy stuff before any of you rabids go getting excited, although....er yeah, speaking as a shipper yes it was good to see.)

I have to say I haven't been overly enamoured by season seven so far but this was a rocking episode. It's pretty hard to tell one good story in an episode but I think they managed to tell two or three good tales here.
Jack was back. Old Jack that is. The Jack that knows that flippant comments have a time and a place. Wow I've missed him so much! This bodes very well...yeah I love his off the cuff remarks and humour but the man is just so...dangerous when he's deadly serious. Ok I'm going in for the base comment early on here. I admit it, I find him incredibly sexy when he's all serious and dangerous like that. Heh I'm a red bloodied woman, so sue me rolleyes.gif .

Anyone who is a fan of Danny whumping is going to be frothing at the mouth watching this (and yes I am deliberately writing this review to wind up those unfortunate people on the wrong side of the Atlantic who don't get to see it in glorious full screen....err...TV colour for a couple of weeks).
I liked getting a glimpse of some of Jack's nefarious past and....

*NON SHIPPY VERSION: I liked Jack's concern over Carter taking charge on a potentially dangerous mission and their shared concern over the missing Daniel.

*SHIPPY VERSION: I liked Jack's sweet concern for Carter and his concern for her wellbeing at the begining...aww he told her to take care...awww /gush.

(*Delete as appropriate)

Ahem. There was also a nice little bit of tension there at the end that could be interpreted in any way you feel like (although I tend to think that they're definitely building up the J/S 'ship quota for a big finish.)

I also liked the touch of humour at the end when Danny was all dumbstruck that Jack was there (like huh! You didn't really think he wasn't going to come in after you did you?). Have to say MS has a nice little comic timing in him and got a nice chance to demonstrate it at the end. Good because it's normally RDA doing the funny stuff.

Yes so the supersoldier army was really reminiscent of ATOC. Mind it was done better IMO (and less confusing) and I can only really see die hard Star Wars fans really getting the arse over that.
Yes the Goa'uld was an ass. Hmmm....way to go Villan Of The Week. Go announce your presence so the good guys can shoot you. Dork!

And to all those who were complaining that Carter doesn't get injured...well yes she does here, although I thought the SS whacked her in the face and not the arm? Well I guess she looks more attractive in a sling than with a dirty great big black eye then. And Danny nearly dies again. Jeez than man is so unlucky!

Final thought. I think this episode is a big ep in where the rest of this season is going. We now know Anubis has a huge army of seemingly invincible soldiers and we've got this device thing that seems to revive dead flesh into a zombie like state. I don't think we've seen the last of either of these things.

OK, so you're saying there will be some shippy crap in this ep? This does not sit well for me. I was really looking forward to seeing this ep, but now I don't really want to. The action better offset that mushy crap, or else I better find a new show to watch.

AAAAUUUGHHH!! Got to stop READING THESE! Now I'm frothing at the mouth! Come quickly, January ninth, for you carry the expectations of many!

*Note: though that sounded semi-dramatic and Shakespearean, I still hate Shakespeare.

I thought this episode was really cool. The 10 seconds of shippy crap doesn't ruin it at all. It's not even that shippy unless you are looking for it.

My favorite part was when the Goa'uld says "fools" and then Teal'c turns around. I almost expected him to say "who you callin' a fool, fool?"

Excellent. You've restored my confidence. And since I'm on dial-up, there's no way I'd ever have the patience to download the ep. Oh well, I like watching it on reg. tv anyway.

And from the sound of it, it looks to be a good ep. Especially when it comes from Arc. Then you know it's a good one. biggrin.gif

Mind you, good episode. I definately liked the evil dead bit. Even my girlfriend agreed that the bit in the hall was like starwars. Nevermind, all good things are borrowed anyway!

Can't wait for the next 'un biggrin.gif

I just finished downloading and watching it.

Great episode. I didn't even notice the shippiness until I read it here, because its practically non-existant as far as im concerned.

Loved the rings part, looks like they need to install some new ones though cool.gif
