i was reading through the transcript of 'The Hive' just now and found this little bit that made me laugh.
~~~~~~~~~ SHEPPARD: Like every other world, I suppose: trees, water, mountains, Starbucks on every corner. NEERA: What is it called? (John finally realises what every viewer has been yelling at him for the last minute, and hesitates.) ~~~~~~~~~ LMAO, its true, my mum, my sister and myself as soon as she started to ask questions about Earth were shouting "NOO, she's a wraith in disguise, she's a spy! dont say anything!" lol, i just found that bit of transcript rather funny, lol! |
Nice conclusion of episode 210. Question: Why are some of the Wraith wearing masks ?? It looks like their warrior class, but why ?? I would defiately agree that there seems to be a class structure in the wraith society.i would say it is modeled on an ant or bee colony, with the queen at the top and the soldiers and workers on the bottom. the mask wearing wraith are pobaly the lowest class and incapable of reproduction and less intelligent (they have never talked yet in an eposoide) they are more muscular than the other type of male, the non-mask wearing wraith showing us that they are the warrior class.as for the non-mask wearing wraith they seem to have a higher standing in the society for example they fly darts and have most of the wraith dialoge in a episode,it would seem logical that they are the wraith who reproduce with the queen. and also to answer your original question they wear mask because they are all muscle and no beauty making them very ugly so a mask would be needed |
Well this episode was pretty good except for the extremely lame idea of humans worshiping the Wraith...
I'd give it a 6 out of 10... |
For the UK viewers:
how did Atlantis catch up with SG-1? I thought Sky One showed 9x01 a week before 2x01, and yet after the Winter break, both are on episode 11? The only thing that comes to mind is that SG-1 had a break one week longer than Atlantis, but I don't remember seeing a week that had Atlantis but no SG-1...am I just going senile? |
You are correct, Atlantis aired for one more week after SG1 had finished for the Christmas break. |
this was a good ep. I liked the part in the cell where they keep bringing out the knives that was great. what I dont get is how that girl could betray her own kind to save her self YOu know she would have had to see the wraith feed on humans.
Did anyone notice how McKay's heart rate didn't realy change when he was in the infirmary , he was in agony sometimes and peaceful the next and still no change even on screencaps it was obvious would have thought they would have taken that into consideration when filming.
Should have spent more tim on that would have made the episode that much better especialy if it was all 3 members. Thought it was a shame he didn't get any visitors though everyone was there in 'conversion' Atlantis rules sorry for sketchiness in a hurry. |
i quite liked this EP,
8/10 wasn't too keen on the warshipping either, perhaps its not 'warshipping, but rather perfering to be a slave then food. It is a little off to think that the wraith would place a trap like that though. to think they they would break out, to go threw the hives, and to actually free ppl what made them think they would do that? regardless, she was cute, and i was happy to see her.....even tho she'd dead now...coward I really had a good laugh with the clown bit and them coming out of the bug. too freeking funny. Oh, here's a thought. how long have they been 'warshipping them? didn't the hive ships just wake up? they must have just been picked up...and yet they were redilly available to wareship? hmmm. ...one other nitpick. would they not have noticed the gate opening just before the ships blowing up? Question? how many Hive ships are there was there ever a mention of that? |
Oh, here's a thought. how long have they been 'warshipping them? didn't the hive ships just wake up? they must have just been picked up...and yet they were redilly available to wareship? hmmm. There were some Wraith who did not go into hibernation and acted as keepers so it is possible the Humans have been worshipping them for a long time, possibly since they first appeared.QUOTE Question? how many Hive ships are there was there ever a mention of that? I think McKay said that there were around 60 Hive Ships in Pegasus at the beginning of the show.EDIT: He found out that there were at least 60 in the galaxy. » Click to Show Spoiler « |
Great episode- although I had to look up the start on Gateworld, due to the fact that my brother & sister got distracted, & missed all that happened before the intro credits.
McKay was funny- his ranting while he was fixing the DHD, & then the fast talking to Weir. I was just waiting for him to keel over from lack of oxygen. I'd actually fainted myself about 1-2 hours before I watched it on tape- my sister, when seeing McKay faint, said it was like me. I didn't laugh at her comment- I actually wanted to punch her. I knew something was wrong with the lady they rescued from the thingy- I only picked up on it when she was the only one they put in with the Shep & Ford. I was trying not to vomit when she snuggled up to him- he kinda looked like he liked it....that is, until he clicked that she was spying....... Shep scared of clowns- LOL! I also thought Weir was going to hug Shep (again)- but I thanked the writers for making her stop herself. I also believe that it's not the last time we'll see Ford- just like Shep said. Maybe Shep saying that they'll meet him again, was the writer's hinting to the viewers that Ford's not dead! Talking about Ford- Shep didn't seem that bothered about leaving Ford behind. He brushed off Teyla's (it was either her or Ronon) question about where Ford was, & then didn't bother going back for Ford once he'd got Teyla & Ronon out of their cell. Shep did use his knowledge from Ford well (you know, that the Wraith have little groups that fight each other....)- first telling the Queen that he knew that, & then causing them to attack each other....which btw, I thought was a great way of getting the Daedalus' attention. I don't really like Caldwell- he seems to not really give a crap about Sheppard. We've really seen it twice this season- 1. When he took over Shep's role as military head ('Conversion') & 2. Giving up really quickly with the rescue in this episode. And Shep's reaction to Ford getting out his knife......lol. And Shep's reaction to Ronon doing the same.....lol. Ronan seemed to have an endless amount of them too. Did anyone notice Ronon pulled one out from what looked like his hair? Screencap!: http://www.jackfic.com/stargateatlantis/at...m=43&pos=51 [lol- funny Shep face in that one!] Can't wait for next week- although I'm going to set the tape as I don't trust my brother & sister anymore due to them cutting off the start for the 2nd time. |
Pretty good. The worshippers was an interesting way of surviving for those people.
Wraith destroying each other was pretty weird I guess, certainly is good that theres infighting though. |
