All scenes, mostly when they start messin about, are just all time classics, i only remember oneill riding the bike tho and ringing the bell at one of the airmen dude! The golf, bikes, juggling, all awesome! Btw, ur avatar is quality linz |

I love that golf scene too.
I wanted to get a nice stargate background for my computer. At first I wanted a close up side view of the stargate while its on, but I couldn't find any. (If anyone has one, send me a message but instead I grabbed a picture of the golf scene with oneill right before he is interrupted by hammond. Unfortunately, its not of very good quality. Does anyone have a hi-res image of this? |

I liked when Teal'c keeps getting hit in the face by the door and he says to the guy "Next time I won't be so forgiving" and walks off... then when it happens again he slams the door in his face.
I liked the golf scene too of course. |

Hey! This it's one of my favorites episodes... I loved the episode. And the KISS!:) How I said before, I'm a Sam&Jack shipper. I just love them too much! If anyone here are a shipper too, please, talk to me! It's hard to find someone who want them to be together. I just stop to see Stargate, because in my country "they" stop to pass!!! Oh God! I'm angry... Sorry! Anyone here are a stargate shipper? come on you guys! I'm feeling all by myself... *haha*

I just saw this episode for the first time this past Monday and I absolutely loved it. It has a brilliant and almost uncomparable mix of plot and humor.

this is by far the greatest episode ever, the golf and the scene with jack kissing sam are two of the best scenes ever in sg1. Teal'c comes into his own in this episode.

I agree that this was a classic. I also agree that each series gets the allowance to do this sort of thing exactly *one time* and if they screw it up, too bad because that's really really it. I love the way they got it to happen, too (and the side effect of putting 14 PLANETS through it was excellent, good use of logic). And of course there are any number of brilliant scenes. My stepmother never really watches SG-1 but she was cracking up. She's convinced O'Neill kissed Sam more than just the one time (does anyone else love his outfit from that scene? He looks like a white rapper). I can't get enough of the stuff with Daniel, and I like the different ways that Teal'c and O'Neill handle their respective "watching someone else engage in physical comedy" sequences (Teal'c apparently endures dozens of doors smacking him before he does anything; O'Neill lets Daniel get smacked into over and over and over and over and over again and never changes his behavior, except to get Daniel to stop talking). The translation thing was also very nice, especially with O'Neill getting ticked off at Daniel. And it was a nice touch to have *Daniel* be the one to suggest that they could do whatever they want. Nerds rule.
To the best of my knowledge, two officers can in fact have a relationship, but they can't be within the same chain of command. Not sure how the SGC works, it might work if she switched to a different unit or to another function within the command (he definitely can't be in a position to give her orders). In any event, shows stink after the romantic chemistry people get together, unless you play it the way they have on Buffy and Angel (where they *can't* get together, or where after they are together, one or both partners is constantly being pressured the other way). I can see something developing ala the Fred triangle on Buffy, but Sam would have to get more attached to someone. I think that O'Neill is better off, health-wise, if they just stay at the flirting level. As I've mentioned elsewhere, Carter's love interests have a way of dying. In any event, X-Files was definitely a lot more fun for me to watch when there was endless speculation and key elevator doors closing at the WORST possible moment and all of that stuff. It was also a lot better before they played the pregnancy card... and before all the stars jumped ship. LOL. |

Probably the scene that cracked me up more than just about any other in this episode was the one where Teal'c slams the door on the guys face - and then actually cracks a very faint smile. This had to be about the first smile he had in the show! Also, I loved all of DJ's smart arse comments back to O'Neill - lots of good payback there. One of the really funny ones was the first time they loop. O'Neill comes out with a description of the mission which is kinda accurate, and then SC speculates that he read her report. Daniel then says in an unbelieving tone, "He read your report?". There is also the hallway conversation between SC and General Hammond. SC is saying that not only is O'Neill using technical terms, he's also using them correctly! Anyway, a really cool episode. |

Gotta add my voice to the kudos for this episode. The look that passes between Jack and Teal'c when Daniel says the bit about being able to do things without worrying about the consequences is brilliant.
