Hi all, I'm new here.....love stargate, favorite character is Dainel, I am a female and am a long time fan of Highlander, so when Peter Wingfield was on stargate I loved it. I knew I had to have his pic under my screen name when I saw it. I'm also a big fan of Buffy and Angel if anyone else out there is.
So um, yeah.....HI! biggrin.gif

A welcoming hello to Mr_W, jill, and nemesis! Hope you enjoy the boards.

Mr_W, please read the Rules and FAQ's (and all those other threads we're supposed to read tongue.gif ). To answer your question about signatures:
Under "My Controls", on the left hand side where it says "Personal Profile" there's "Edit Signature". There's a "check length" right above the "update my signature" button. The maximum allowed length is 500 characters.

Damn... my default newbie post got lost... nevermind, I'll try and recreate it.

Welcome to the archive
In case of emergency, the exit is to the top right hand side of your screen... In the event of cabin depressurisation there are lots of people willing to fill the forums with hot air. If you would like to take up knitting or sowing, we have plenty of threads.
Your pilot for the duration is Arcady. Bow to his might, or he will send you screaming out of the window and forget to take a parachute. If you post annoyingly or pointlessly, or double post, Odin will fall from the overhead lockers and hit you over the head with a 'delete post' button.
If we land in the water, you spilled coffee on your computer. If it looks like we've crashed, come back later... it probably means the server is restarting, or something... if you see the site buried and burning in a cliff... well, it's your own fault, you really shouldn't have let that homicidal maniac into your house.

Have a nice flight. biggrin.gif

Although a newbie, I feel at home. Perhaps some of you might want to add to the topic I opened about spreading the word. If we can get more support, maybe Stargate and break into year ten and beyond!

Cute.

Welcome Jill, Nemesis, Mr_w, and spider.gc smile.gif I found starting in the polls was an easy transition into posting. It gave me more to talk about such as why I chose the answer I did in the poll, or telling them that they left out what I would have chosen.

PS Look through at least the first 3 or 4 pages of threads before starting a new one. Make sure the topic isn't already alive and going. Don't be afraid to start a new thread if you don't find one on the topic you wanted. It may get shut down or you may get some loving 'hate' mail about "this has already been done", but if you check it out first, they'll have nothing to scream about wink.gif Just because some older members have answered the same question before, it doen't make it wrong for you to ask.

Depends on how silly, stupid or how much of a dumbass you are.

If you ask a question and the answer is in the same post...expect to get it right away. Other silly things will get you some red writing.

But just like baseball three strikes and I'm on your ass.

Hey I'm not a newbie anymore, but I realize I never introduced myself. So here it goes;

Kira is my name, 1701 my birthdate (european style = day-month) and I'm from Holland. I love Stargate and my favorite character is Teal'c. And I'm deleriously happy right now, because Christopher Judge is coming to Holland YEEHAAH!!. Together with Micheal Shanks, who I'm also very happy to finanly be able to meet. My SG1 encounters so far only include Teryl Rothery. Oy what is she an incredible sweet woman, but she has a wicked sence of humor laugh.gif . And 3 weeks from now I'll meet Alexis Cruz at a dutch convention.

Yes SG1 has discoverd Holland netherlands.gif

Next to SG1 I love Star Trek (Hence my starting to call myself a TrekGater) especially DS9. I'm also a major fan of Babylon 5 and Highlander (cool to see other Highlander fans here as well) so seeing Methos appear in SG1 as Tanith was an unexpected thrill. Now don't shoot me, this is the only soap I watch, but I'm also a fan of As the world turns whistling.gif

I love trivia and games, as some of you already noticed biggrin.gif and reading. I own tons of Star Trek books, but have SG1/B5 and Highlander books as well. Plus an enourmous suply of romance novels. Hey even a scifi fan can be a romantic at heart.

That's it for now.
