Well, i thought Korean was written in Caracters (sp).
Not in ''normal'' writing with the abc. It is a little bit difficult to translate an oriental language if it doesnt have an alphabet like other western countries.... Btw: i use this link for translations and it has korean included. But when i fill in whatever you type in korean it doesnt translate This post has been edited by Kaileron: Oct 6th 2003, 1:19 PM |

My wife's cousin is a major in the army, and was stationed in South Korea (Daegu, I believe) for several years. He married a Korean woman and they now live in D.C. They have 2 daughters now. I'm sure I could get her to translate for me. I think she speaks like 8 different languages or something crazy like that. She worked for the UK embassy, I think.

OK appearantly we dutchies pist some people of. So for those who were wondering what we talked about I'll translate. You don't trust me, look it up in a dictionary.
Your'e KIDDING, your'e dutch
I thought you were american
By the way I live in Den Dolder, which is not far from Zeist
Funny that makes 4 dutchies on this forum
Haha, I hear that all the time
I even got penalty points at my englisch exam for speaking with an american accent. **Ah, the wonderful influence of TV** But I didn't say that in my earlier post.
But I'm Dutch all the way. So basicly Kaileron was so stunned to discover I'm Dutch he forgot to type it in english, as was I. So shoot us if you have too, but can we please get back to introducing newbies. That's what this thread is all about, right?? This post has been edited by Kira1701: Oct 7th 2003, 7:42 AM |

Hey guys im new to this forum. I just wanna say that SG-1 is one of the best series ever out there.
My country showed the first episode 3 years ago, then they replied it 7 times and they newer showed the others,2-7. So i was made because i thought it was a great show, why did they not buy more episodes? Well i bought the dvds and oh boy i love them all. I m currently watching ep2-10 and WOW i thought sg-1 like other shows gets worse because they had tried evrytihing, villians, places, but sg-1 keeps suprising me evrytime. Finally some episdoes are just mindblowning the acting is supreme espically richard dean anderson. Arhg i just wanna scream out how god the show is but you guys already know that. A question i saw that in the later shows a new charhacter joins sg-1. and i cant say that i like it because i love the old crew. A happy newcomer |

How about? Welcome newbies, DUTCH newbies too! On the serious note of welcoming newbies, welcome Vanderian and Cara. After welcoming everyone, I've been dubbed the "hostess". (I feel like I need one of those default newbie posts? Compliments by Annise: "Welcome to the archive In case of emergency, the exit is to the top right hand side of your screen... In the event of cabin depressurisation there are lots of people willing to fill the forums with hot air. If you would like to take up knitting or sowing, we have plenty of threads. Your pilot for the duration is Arcady. Bow to his might, or he will send you screaming out of the window and forget to take a parachute. If you post annoyingly or pointlessly, or double post, Odin will fall from the overhead lockers and hit you over the head with a 'delete post' button. If we land in the water, you spilled coffee on your computer. If it looks like we've crashed, come back later... it probably means the server is restarting, or something... if you see the site buried and burning in a cliff... well, it's your own fault, you really shouldn't have let that homicidal maniac into your house. Have a nice flight.") Nevermind us crazy peeps- some due to the lack of Stargate, some due to too much stargate, and some due to just the plain ol' love of stargate. Craziness: First you'll get used to us, then you'll become one of us! Fear not... Enjoy the boards! |

Bueno to all.
I am a newbie to this board but by no means a newbie to forums. I come from a forum known as Mustang World . As I am sure you can deduce, it is a forum for Mustang Enthusiasts (the car, not the horse). I hail from Texas and I actually live in the same town as General Hammond I am currently a Mechanical Engineering major at Penn State University and I have been involved in a 2 year relationship with another one of your members, Nemesis217 . I will most likely not be a constant member at this board since Mustang World is my main forum. However, I love Stargate SG-1 and i will hopefully learn things from y'all and hopefully even teach you some stuff at the same time. Ciao |
