These are closing tags - notice the forward slash in every closing tag. If you do not properly close any tag then the characters of the tag will appear in the text. Double check to make sure there are no typos in the tag if they don't work. Beyond that I can't help you.

As Jacob/Selmac said in Seth, there are only dozens in the rank of a systemlord, thousands of goa'uld in general. Because of the warriors of tau'ri the systemlords are dying one by one... so are the common goa'ulds getting promoted or what? We only know of Chlorel as son of apophis - maybe its a family-thing?

I would appreciate any and all help. 3 Stargates on Earth: SGC had the one found in Giza. Anubis attacked the gate which force the SGC to put it in space where it blew up. Russians retrieved Stargate that was on Thors ship, which the SGC is now renting from them. Russians have DHD that went with the Stargate from Giza. Stargate found in Antarctica w/DHD that no longer works. Antarctica Stargate was sealed in cave. What I'm trying to clarify is, was the rogue operations that used the Antarctica Stargate ran by the NID? What happened to it after the rogue unit was shut down? Goto the 'Site Index' and look up Stargate If I am correct there were actually only 2 stargates on Earth - the Giza and the Antartic Gate. The Giza gate ended up crashed in the ocean where the Russians retrieved it later on (Watergate). The SGC then used the Antartic gate but had to destroy it when Anubus attacked. Then they negotiated to get the Russians gate (and DHD which subsequently was destroyed). Try that link to find more info on this and the NID butholes

Like; "The Stargate cannot be accessed The Stargate you are looking for is currently unavailabe. The planet site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or is no longer there.", or something like that, along those lines. Could someone PM me the proper thread address? What is the gold thing on Teal'c's forehead?

It is a gold-infused tattoo of the symbol of Apophis, the goa'uld Teal'c served before joining SG1. Other jaffa can be identified by black forhead tattoos of the goa'ulds they serve, which may or may not appear different from Teal'c's depending on who they serve or served. Only the first prime, or leader of armies, receives the honor of the gold tattoo. Introduced in season one.

Why do almost all the inhabitants of other worlds look human?

The humans encountered on other worlds are all descended from the early cultures of Earth, known as the Tau'ri or first world. The goa'uld enslaved them and scattered them throughout the universe to serve them. Explained in season one, episode two.

What is a goa'uld?

The goa'uld are a parasitic race of beings which require human dna to procreate and prefer to exist by taking over a human host and controling the host body. Their actual form, outside of a host, is a snake-like fish about a foot in length. Each goa'uld is born with all the knowledge of all goa'ulds before it, passed on through genetic memory. They are uniformly blood-thirsty, bent on conquest, and upon their own pleasure at the expense of others. Introduced in season one, episode one.

What are the tok'ra?

Tok'ra is a goa'uld word meaning "resistance" or "against Ra" (Ra is a goa'uld that was defeated). The tok'ra are goa'ulds who believe the host relationship should be one of mutual benefit rather than conquest. A tok'ra prefers to "blend" with its host as a consentual agreement and tends to view all other matters with the concepts of compromise and equality. Hunted as outcasts by the goa'uld, the tok'ra become allies with the humans of the Tau'ri. Introduced in season two, episode two.

I think some thing should happen between them two. The only way they could be together is for Jack to retier and Sam takes a teching job at the airforce plus still work at the SGC.

somehow I thought that interesting 'a' used in the main title was in the Tauri home address...

To post pics, you can either attach one from your comp. collection or get it hosted.

If you use an attachment...

Theres a part of the page that says "File Attachments"
You may attach a file to this message.
Maximum file size: 50k
Click browse and once it's attached, hit reply.

The following file types are allowed:

If you want to use spoilers in othr areas you have to white them out and tell the people they are reading spoilers if they go on reading. If you find spoilers that aren't marked you should report them to the mods. I'm a lot on the forums but I don't think there are too many 'wrong' spoilers. Maybe you were in the spoilers forum because, as you said, it's in General Discussion too.

Stargate began with Stargate: The movie, this was followed by the series Stargate:SG-1. At the end of the 7th season of SG-1 the team found something incredible (I won't spoil it for you). Basically the events of the SG-1 Season 7 finale led into the spinoff series Stargate: Atlantis. Now there are the two seperate series SG-1 & Atlantis running simultaneously. I would advise you to watch the first 7 season of SG-1 before you start watching Atlantis. Hope that helps.

Both SG-1 Season 8 and Atlantis Season 1 take place at the exact same time (2004-2005, the general consensus is that the time the year the season was released corresponds with the year it takes place in). Did you ever watch Buffy and Angel? Similar situation to that.
