Okay, the 9th cevron issue,

In the episode where jack oneill meets the asgards for the 1st time cant remember the ep numbers,

It is explained in primitive terms that they dialed a different area code using 8 chevrons including the POO (point of origin).

It should now be explained that 9 chevrons including the POO, is like adding the country code.

8= 1+area code + number

9= 1+country code+area code +number

get it?

number is 6 without the point, area code is the 7th chevron and country code is 8th, with the 9th lit chevron teh point of origin (1+).

i believe that this 9 chevron dialling indeed extends the 'wormhole' the farthest that we havent seen yet.

I'm wondering about something.
When linking/uploading screenshots. Are there any legal boundaries? As in SciFi for example not allowing screenshots of their broadcast to be published for some reason?
When people discuss some episode for example and I'd like to upload the screenshot to clarify the issue. Would there be any problems with that? I'm just asking because I haven't seen almost any screenshots in this forum.

It really depends on where you get it from. Some sites don't like you taking images from them without permission and some don't allow it at all (Gateworld is one - of course Gateworld get their images from another site then go and slap their name all over them). It's best to check the rules of the site where you acquire them or ask the Admin of the site it the can be used. Some sites are alright with it as long as the origin of the images is acknowledged or a link to the site is provided. Like I said, it's better to get pemission first.

No no no. I guess I wasn't clear about that. I mean if I make a screenshot - I downloaded the episode from torrent (TV rip from SciFi usualy), and I use something like VLC player to capture the screen. Is it ok to put it on here? I don't want the admin to get in trouble if its illegal.

Ah right, I know it is fine to post screen captures from DVDs. I'm not entirely sure about posting screencaps from episodes gained through other methods. It may be better to PM Arcady or Linz to get the answer.

It doesn't sound like legal... Anything that is free usually doesn't sound legal... And if it isn't legal, it can't and won't be discussed here... Please, mention it no further... Thank you.

The only type of downloading we discuss here is that which is completely legal, e.g. itunes. Any program that allows you to download without charge sounds dubious.

Um I'm looking for a specific epsiode which I don't remember the name or season. Sg-1 goes to a planet where the sky is red, and no it's not the episode Red sky. It's a different one where their sky is naturally orangy and I don't remember much else other then the gate is horzontal and they have to activate these three beacons at one point? Any idea anyone? Any answer would help alot thanks

That episode has to do with a rogue SG team.
