Damn that was good. I wonder who decided to play it backwards to see if it meant anything.

Yeah, Wonder why they were doing that. Maybe he was trying to get in contact with ole nick downstairs or invoke some evil spirits.

Before when they have spoken in their own language, that had also been tested but turned out to be nothing more gibberish. So either they have changed it to make it easier for people to get in on the Asgard language or it was nothing more than a simple mistake, that slipped through the net without being rectified.

Haven't any of you done voice recordings with Windows 3.1's Audio Recorder, and inverted them? There was always something "alien" about it. Come to think of it I should have guessed, had I really listened to the Asgard's voices.

That's not entirely true, If you watch other Asgard Speaking eps in past seasons. Then Reversing the audio makes no difference in that it still translates as gibberish. This is the first one & probably when they get around to shotting for the second half of the season, TPTB will probably chop & change it as it was figured out so quickly.

It was cool when I heard the reverse of what Hermoid said, "When will humans learn there consequences to their actions" or something like that. But I suspect the post-editor couldn't be bothered to "chop and change" that day.

I can really only think of two realistic outcomes.

1. They were too busy getting everything ready that they overlooked this part. So if this was what has happened, then they will now be aware of it & can't change anything until they re-start their shooting of the 2nd half of the season.

2. It was simply a case of slang words. Every region of every country on Earth have their own Regional Dialects. This being words/phrases/pronunciation that varies from person/place to person/place etc. It could be possible that this was simply a case of Asgard slang. He was mumbling to himself so could have let his normal guard down as there wasn't any other Asgard around to keep him on his toes. So he spoke that way or speaks that way when there's no other Asgard around. This could simply be a deliberate insight into their civilization.

Those in the US and Canada have already seen it, so that isnt anything new to viewers from there, but other countries havent aired it yet. You'll find more about it in the episode discussion thread.

QUOTE(Evo @ Mar 5th 2005, 11:26 AM) *

That's a very nice spoiler there, but I got some doubts about that. Chaya already admitted that they won't help them with the Wraith. Not that I don't want to have her back or anything, I would like that, but I don't see it happening. But yeah, I do like the made-up spoiler, it was interesting and it gave me an idea of what it would be

Padr49904

Chaya can't help them the ascended ancients aren't allowed if she does she will most likely descend like Daniel did in sg1. The ancients have agreed not to help when they ascend and i don't think she will.
